Name those sizes! I know we aren't supposed to use terms like "teacup" and such but if you could sort Yorkies by sizes what sizes would you group together? I know we have jokingly used "teapot" and "mug" but what sizes would you group them as? My Pirogue would be a "teapot" I suppose as he is 11#. What would you call one of those 23# Yorkies? See my question? If Yorkies range from 23# down to below 2# how would you group them? A lot of people are grouping them like Poodles but I don't think that will fit with Yorkies cause no matter what you do sooner or later you will end up with a teenytiny one or a throwback. I saw a puppy the other day for sale actually refered to as "teaspoon". She doesn't look like she will reach 2#, if I had to use a term for her I would say "teaspoon" would fit. Sylvia |
In our standard - I do not think they will ever rank them as they have for poodles, But... for the 23# - how about "Jug" |
What about grouping them as fruit names?? Like the 23# would be Watermelon, and the tiny "teaspoon" could be grape! :p Mine will be about 3.5 full grown...I would call them tangerines. Others could be apple, orange, and grapefruit! hehehe |
LOL Oh, I like the fruit idea! But what I was wondering was what weights would you put together for the sizes? Like say, 15 to 25# would be the watermelon. 10- 15# would be the canteloupe. 7-10# would be a grapefruit. And so on, what do you think? |
LOL.. I always say JUMBOSAURIS for the big ones:p Like a Jumbo Dinosaur:cool: |

In a post recently someone called larger yorkies D-cups. I have a 10 lber and a 6 lber. So I quess I have a Dcup and a Bcup. |
ROTFLMBO!!! I love Jumbosauris and the bra sizes!!! |
OHHH for sizes, I would put 1-4 lbs together, 5-7 lbs together, 8-10 together, 11-13 together, and then to 14+!!!!!!!!! hehehe I have 1 grape (she is 2 lbs but only 13 weeks old) and I guess a tangerine (3.4 lbs)! :p |
Teacup... Teapot... What about Crockpot???? :D |
I love the d-cup thing it was one of the funniest threads so i would say 4lbs and under would be tinies 4-7lbs would be normal or small and 7-10 would be D-cups 10-14lbs would be DD-cups 14lbs+ would be DDD-cups lol |
