| ![]() I've never been to a pyhsic (sp?), but my mom's best friend goes to one all the time who predicts everything from a friend's illness to the weather two years from now. She is right on the money about everything, I think I am just scared to go to her as I don't want to know the future. LOL Well the physic says that young children and animals are able to sense spirits more than adults are able to. I believe her as before we moved every once in a while, Bruiser would just start barking at the end of the hall like someone was there. It would be at all hours of the day or night, he would just go into attack mode as if he had someone cornered. I still think that it was some kind of spirt he was saw as if it were a human. I don't know, my husband thinks I have a vivid imagination, but I still think that's what happened.

| ![]() I know I'm new but I've got so many stoires on this topic but I'll tell my favorite two. One involves a dog and a ghost, the other a butterfly. Ellie and the lady in white: One night I was up really late online (about 3am) and I heard my Jack Russell barking her head off. I didn't want Mum to wake up because she'd see I was still online and I didn't want to get in trouble, heh. I went into the hallway to see what was going on and she was just staring at the wall, looking up. I squatted down to pet her and tell her to be quiet and as I looked at where Ellie was looking I looked directly into the eyes of the most beautiful transperant woman in floaty white transperant clothes with very, very long flowing hair. I cannot describe the sheer beauty of this woman, or the look of horror on her face when she knew I could see her. I wasn't scared, I was more a little surpised but it was very normal (if that word can be described to describe this situation.) I've seen and felt her more times over the years than I can remember, but it was Ellie who first alerted her presence to me. I could go on about the various times I've seen her and tell stories but I'll move onto one that's not at all scary, more sweet than anything. My Nana, the butterfly: I was really close with my Nana (my Mum's mum.) She died about 7 years ago and my Mum and I were absolutely devastated. Nana didn't ever have much money or possessions, there was nothing really to "leave" to anyone in the family. When she passed I got 2 things from her, a beautiful blue scarf (which I lost one day when it was very windy) and a fake mounted butterfly in a glass balloon thing. These were two things I'd always play with when I went to see her, I loved that butterfly so much and she knew it. My Mum and Aunty said that I should have it and it's my prized posession. Anyway, a short time after she died a butterfly that looks EXACTLY THE SAME as the fake one I inherited started to hang around me. It would fly in my door and sit on my bedpost and I'd have (one sided) conversations with it. It always appears at the right time. It doesn't matter which town I'm in, I see it. I know it's the same one, I can always feel it before I see it. I was stressing out about an exam I had at Uni and had travelled 4 hours away from home and felt it, I turned around and there it was. It appears if I'm scared/worried/sad or when I'm doing something right, something I should be doing. (If that makes sense?) I'm sure it's my Nana watching over me, in a form that's familiar to the both of us. It's not a regular butterfly, it's one of those super large ones. Black with the most beautiful colours. |

| ![]() My mother, who passed away at 93 years of age three years ago, told us a story from her childhood. There was an old man who lived alone with a big German shepherd dog for many years. The dog always layed beside the man in front of the fire in the evening. Years went on and the dog passed away, but he still came every evening and layed beside the old man in front of the fire. Many people saw the dog, like a shimmery cloud, definitely recognizable, just float into the room and lay down beside the old man. It went on until the old man's death. Just three weeks before my mother's death, I went to visit her in the assisted living place where she lived. I was across the hall in the laundry room and when I stepped out into the hallway outside her door, I saw my father standing there. He had been gone for over 30 years. He didn't look at me or do anything, just stood there, like he was waiting. I saw him twice while I was there, the second time he walked off down the hall. He looked like a cloud, nothing solid, but it was him and I recognized his face and how he stood and walked. I wasn't afraid at all and felt comforted knowing that he was there watching over my mother. I wondered if she was going to go with him that day. Three weeks later, the day my mother died, she talked to my father and saw him and he was right there with her, waiting to take her with him. My sister was there and she said mom was happy to see him and anxious to go with him. It is comforting to know he was there and she was glad to go with him. I am sure they are together now. |

| ![]() Many years ago, we had a Cocker Spaniel named Buzzby. She was very sweet, gentle, and calm natured and hardly ever barked. She slept on the foot of the bed and one night, suddenly stood up, the hair on her back standing up, low growling, and looking down the hall. We were reading so we saw the whole thing. We could also see there was nothing down the hall. But, looking at the back of her head, it appeared she was following something coming towards us, then into the room, then turn and walk along the foot of the bed, then into (and through?) the outside wall. After staring at the wall a few more moments, she curled back up as if nothing happened. It never happened again. Oh, I love this thread. Last edited by MrYorkiecrazy; 12-05-2007 at 07:26 PM. | ![]() Hi it's me again. Boy! What a response, I haven't read everything yet, but I will make myself a cup of coffee, and sit down and read everything, it is all so interesting. I had another thing happen quite a few years ago, when my grandson was about three years old. My daughter and I were decorating her Christmas Tree, in her living room, when he came running down the stairs yelling "Tell that man to get off the stairs"! My daughter replied "What Man?" Right There!, he yelled, pointing his finger at something. We tried to explain to him that there was no one there, but he kept insisting. To this day, I still wonder what it was. He is now nineteen, and one of these days I will see if he remembers this incident. I think that kids at an early age are very receptive to stuff like this. I can tell you one thing, he freaked us out. We both had a drink. Janelles |

| ![]() Well my family and I have had a lot of spiritual/ghost like happenings when three of my family members have died in the past few year so i definitely believe in this kinda of stuff! My grandpa recently passed away on Dec 28th. I was fortunate enough to make it to Chicago in time see him and he was still in his right mind to know I was there. Well what is interesting the night before he passed away he described what you do before you get to heaven and who comes for you ect. what's strange is all three family members on diff sides of the family all described the same thing! Anyway My grandpa loved Bella she would sit on his lap and keep him company and he would talk to her when we came to visit.Well before my grandpa passed away he said if he could communicate with us after death he would. We said well how will we know if its you? He said oh you will. You have to understand my papa was quite the jokester! About an hour after he passed away bella and I were in my moms childhood room and bella was very upset like she knew what had happened she had her head down and started looking up so naturally i did to haha! then the lights started to flicker in the house! of course he would pick that as a sign haha! we all went to bed early. Bella and I were laying in bed (we were staying at his house and sleeping in the family room) and she got up out of a sound sleep went to the edge of the bed and started to wagging her tail. Well i just last there and watched for a few moments and she kept looking back at me then looking at something kinda like MOM cant you see this! I said who is that bella? is that papa? and she started jumping and acting all happy she laid down still staring and she put her head out like someone was petting her! She did this every night we were there. The night i came home I happen to be by myself and was still upset bella was laying next to me and was trying to cheer me up. Well AT MY HOUSE I heard something almost like a soft breathing i thought wow i finally lost it! well bella heard it to because she went to the edge of my bed and followed something around the entire bed and stopped right in front of me! I could feel something and wasn't scared though and bella laid down again wagging her tail laying on her side like someone was scratching her tummy! I said papa is that you? and bella jumped up and looked in the same direction i felt something in and had a calming feeling I knew it was him! I guess he just wanted to make sure i wasn't sad anymore!

Teddy and Sophie bark at the hallway or just look at it. I knw there's prob. something here cause one time a bedroom door kept opening and slamming like someone was messing with it, it was just me and my bf here and Teddy, no one else. I ran out his house lol

| ![]() This is a great post. Many years ago, I was sleeping and i suddenly woke up to see a man standing at the bottom of my bed. I could not see his features clearly, but I was not scared at all. he stood there calmly looking at me for a minute, and then just disappeared. I went back to sleep, like nothing had happened. The phone ringing woke me up. It was my mother telling me my Grandfather had died during the night. His death was very peaceful, and when my Grandmother found him, he was laying on his side like he had never even woke up. I have always believed he had come to say good bye, and he was so calm that I wasn't even scared. Sawyer will stand on me sometimes and look over the back of the couch like someone is standing behind us. He whines and paws at the air. I feel it is my Dad who I lost three years ago just checking in. I love to feel that those we loved so much are in some way still able to be near us sometimes. ![]()

| ![]() ok... i haven't read through all the posts, but this is some freaky stuff! I'm very jumpy... i HATE scary movies, i want nothing to do with them. Lately they have been advertising that show "paranormal state" on A&E, and every time i see it I tell my boyfriend, "we will NOT be watching that!". Well, the other night i caught the beginning of that show by accident and found myself watching it, even watching the next episode that followed. Now that is a freaky show!! Then i proceeded to watch "psychic children", that was creepy and very interesting! Anybody else watch it? Now.. on to the juicy stuff. Knowing how freaked I am of ghosts, my boyfriend never told me that an elderly woman died in our house. I overheard him talking to our friend who has stayed at our house. She was telling him that when she sleeps on our couch, she has woken up and has started talking to a old woman that is sitting at the end of the couch!! Then once awake, she'll sort of snap herself out of it. I find that hard to explain! :::shivers:::: Thankfully, i have not experienced this, and hopefully i will never!!!!

| ![]() Okay I'm freaked right out and hearing all kinds of noises in my house that I never payed attention to before. My 9 year old daughter just confided in me that she has always seen the ghosts. She doesn't see details but she says it's a shadow form of a person. She doesn't seem to be afraid of them at all. Thank God!!! Okay going to read other threads so I can try to forget about this one. lol
