A Scammer Actually Called Me!!!
 

TAlk about being Ballsy. Yesterday I emaioled this lady about this female pup for 300.00. It said she was in Kansas City which I thought was great. I got an email back from her that said she still has the pup and asked why I wanted her dog so i wrote her back and when I replied she said well I am in the PEAS CORP. (actual spelling she used) and am in camaroon and said if you just want to pay the shipping of 200.00 ( see she changed her price) than she would ship her right out .WELL. I sat and toyed with her abit and said "well, I dont feel real comfortable having a dog sent all that way on a plane and sending you 200.00 because of all the scams out there. I said they only way I will do this is if you go ahead and send the pup and ill pay for shipping at the airport when I receive her". :rolleyes: SHe wrote back and said that she doesnt understand why i dont trust her and blah blah blah. well i tried to email back and she deleated her email so i was thinking "ok, shes gone back into her hole" well at 9:30 last night SHE CALLED and was foreign and I could hardly understand her saying that i was acting like I was wanting her dog and really wasnt and i was funny and she didnt understand...blah blah blah. I go t MAD and told her not to EVER call again and hung up. I was so upset I completely didnt realize that she had my phone number. I NEVER gave it to her...She emailed me t hree times after the call..saying shes a christian and that she cant believe I dont trust her and so forth. :mad: :mad: Scammers suck and I wish they would all go crawl back under the rock they come from!!!:thumbdown

That sucks! I would report her to the authorities because she was harassing you over the phone. :thumbdown

Thats a good idea to pay shipping when the puppy arrives at the airport. I'm looking for a new baby too. Yes, thats creepy how she got your phone number. I had one guy call me and say, "you give me money, when you gonna send me money" those were his exact words.

Sorry you had to go through this,do not trust anyone from cameroon. I had dealings with probably the same lady as you. She asked me to pay the £200 shipping and when i suggested paying at the airport,i got the same christian story! :mad:

That's scary. Be careful. Maybe your number is on google, because I typed my full name and my full address and phone number were listed, plus a map of how to get to my house. I had to have it removed.

Them being foreign isn't what upsets me. I've been scammed by someone out of nebraska! lol. Bad people are everywhere. I even heard that a lot of scammers from oversea's, use their family, that live in the U.S., to make the calls, set up fake websites,and do the emailing, so everything looks and sounds legit. So appauling. And I hate the way, they all claim to be christain! As a "christain" (yea right), do you really think God's going to bless you for stealing innocent people's money. Give me a break

Go to Google.com and type your full name and see what comes up.

I was curious, so I typed in my name at Google. I typed in my first name and last name. And wow, there are alot of people that have the same name as me, and it said where all of them lived and gave their phone numbers, there were sooo many!! So I typed in my full name with my middle name and did a search. Luckily they don't have my full name, so my address and phone number is not available on line, thank goodness!!! That is scary though, to be able to do a search on google for a name and get back an address and phone number!:eek: :eek:

Yea it's really scary. I couldn't believe they had a map to my house along with my address and phone number. I was in shock :eek: but luckily had it removed and removed my parents' and boyfriends parents' as well.

lol i had a guy once ask me what my name was and i told him and he said it sounded like a pornstar name it never dawned on me till now lol!! i started a thead for everyone to google their name in off topic and post what they find if it's anything like mine it should be interesting lol!

ive seen loads of ads from people in camaroon selling pups or saying they are giving them away for free and i think all of them are from the same person so i wouldnt touch them with a barge pole.

Ok now I'm curious as to what your full name is..lol..you don't have to give it if you don't want to but I'm just curious now :p

I too can't believe the balls on the scammer to continue to harasss someone because they are smart enough not to get scammed!!!!!!!! She wasn't giving up on the 200.

I look at it this way, there is no such thing as a cheap yorkie. Especially, not a $200 one. If a yorkie is too cheap than something is wrong, whether it's with the yorkie or a scam. Stand clear a way too cheap yorkies and you should be okay.

thats true but there are good honest people out there with situations that we dont know about. I know a girl here in town got a female yorkie (purebred) for 100.00. she is 1 yr old and weighs 4 pounds. The lady that had her had gotten sick and didnt feel like she could give her the love needed so the girl got her. Not all cheaper yorkies have strings attached, you just have to find them. :( P.S. I called on her when I saw the ad and she was already gone. Was only in the paper for 1 day! :( The girls is really nice though so thats ok.:D

Actually as far as getting your phone number -- some people just have far greater searching skills than other people do.

It's amazing - if you have much experience searching on the Internet and you're willing to perservere - what you can find.

Sooooooooooooooo --- I wouldn't worry about her having found your phone number... it's unlikely that she'll want to waste her time or money calling you again. And, if she does, just hang up.

One word to the wise -- when you are dealing with such unscrupulous people as this woman was - I think it's always good to deal with them in a way that doesn't upset or anger them. Just say that you have a couple puppies that you want to check out locally before you make any decisions or something like that. And, then later on, if need be, say that you have already found a Yorkie and have purchased it.

I really don't like "being on the bad side" of people like her. Making her mad or upset might only cause more trouble for you. She sounds pretty resourceful to me.

In any dealings that I have ever done from buying houses to buying tractors. It's those who claim to be Christians that are the biggest frauds. Real Christians don't use their religion as a tool.

So now the minute someone mentions religion, the deal is off.

I can't believe the amount of scammers out there. When I was looking for my baby I was shocked by how many were missionaries in Africa. What a bunch of hooey! I feel so lucky to have found Jake from a home breeder who felt the same way about scammers as I did. He says he goes onto Puppyfind.com every once in a while just to mess with all the scammers.
