| New to YT Hi! I'm new to YT, although I've been viewing for months now. Our family just expanded with our first Yorkie, Jessie. We also have a black lab, Molly. Jessie is 6 months old and a bundle of fun..and fiestiness! Anyway, when we adopted her, about a month ago, she was pretty well potty trained to go outside. Since we've had her though, she continues to have "accidents" inside with no prior warning. We take her out regularly, however instead of going potty, she runs and plays. My lab, Molly is 6yrs., however when she was a puppy we trained her and now will go potty if she needs to by me just taking her outside and telling her "go potty". Is this possible with Yorkies? |

| Welcome to YT!!!! You are going to love it here. Yes, I think it is definately possible with yorkies! It doesn't happen overnight though. Just be patient and stay on top of things. Have you tried crate training? I guess it's about 50/50 some swear by it, other folks don't like to, but it may be an option for you.

| Welcome to YT. Yes, it is possible to traing them with the words "go potty". Sissy is pretty good with it, though I may have to say it several times to get her to go to the grass rather than just exploring around. It took me quite a while to figure out her signal for letting me know she needed to go out was to just sit by me and look at me!

| all four of my pups know the phrase "go potty"... my chi barks alll the way out, Tootie will knock any of them over to get outside.. he is 11 months old now and yes, still has "accidents". I prefer to call them lazy-dents.... he knows that the "potty" goes outside.. just a little hard headed.. d
