You guys seriously crack me up!! I'm new to this site... but I found it while researching about yorkies, cause I am planning on getting a yorkie pup here soon - my first one!! :) But I think I am already getting addicted to this site, and I don't even own a yorkie....YET! It's funny. I am driving my husband crazy!!! I make him sit in here with me and look at all your puppy pics you guys have on here.... and I'm like "Isn't he cute baby!!!"... "I can't wait till I have my own!!" He's going nuts! LOL.

But I LOVE THIS SITE!! You guys have been so helpful... and I have learned a lot already, so I will be ready when I finally do get my baby!!

Luvmypupster and USMarinewife, I too am so grateful for what your family members are doing in service to our country. There's no way I could ever repay them and all the other brave men and women who serve this country in Iraq and other places. Their sacrifice and yours is what makes this country great and protects the freedoms that we all cherish so much!

Thank you iheartyorkies. It does mean a lot to families to know that others support our soldiers. Here's a collage we put together of my son and then a picture of him by the palace and then we have this wonderful picture of my son and his brother-in-law, they bumped into each other over there.

I do too thank all the troops for what they do everyday. And I tell my husband all the time how proud I am of him. I have a lot of military in my family... My dad is a Navy vet, both my grandfathers are Navy vets... my brother is active Navy.... my best friend in the whole wide world is married to a sailor also.

No, my husband has not been to Iraq. He works on harriers (which is a plane), and right now, he has a good chance of not having to go to Iraq... but of course, always has the possibly of being deployed on a ship.

I pray that he will never have to go... but he will if duty calls.

But thank you for being so supportive!

My prayers do go out to all the deployed men and woman!! I hope they all get to come home soon!! :tinyheart

USMarinewife, there's a "sticky" post from admin on the General forum I think on how to post pix. If it doesn't help, then you can PM Aimee or Passionfruition and ask for help. They've helped lots of folks who have had trouble with it. I'm not much help, my method if sort of trial and error.

I have had a lot of military in my family as well. Great-Grandfather(Army/WWI), GrandFather(Navy/WWII), My Dad(Army/Korean), Uncles(Navy), Son (Army/OIF/Iraq), Nephew (Army/OEF/Afghanistan) and my sweet Daughter-in-law whom is married to my army son has had her husband (my son), her brother and her uncle in Iraq at the same time. Her dad was also a Vietnam and Desert Storm Vet. My good friends son has also been to Iraq and is about to be deployed again. Sounds like the both of us have strong family military ties! I know your as proud of yours as I am of mine. After being a military mom for almost 10 years now I sure feel a a lot of admiration, respect and love for all of those who serve.

I understand your concerns of always knowing that their is the possibility of your husband being deployed. I hope he doesn't go but if he does I know he will be dedicated to the task and do the Marines proud. My son is now in Germany and I know that there is a very strong possibilty of him being sent back within the year. I hope he doesn't but it will just have to wait and see.

I would love to see your hubby's pictures! Hopefully someone can help walk you thru posting them. I'm a little challenged in that area and others may be able to assist you better than I.

We are a military (Air Force) family as well. My husband will be going to Turkey in July for 15 months. He's been told he'll probably deploy to Iraq from there.

We salute all of the other military families and thank, very gratefully, those who support what our military members do for our country :)

My son is stationed in Baghdad with the Air Force, he has been there for a month, when he gets back he will have done his 20 years, and is looking forward to spending time with his family. I took this picture to give to his 3 small sons while they wait. They love Jack and keep this picture in their room.

Wow! I had no idea there were this many people on the forum with active military family members. We need to start a thread & post pictures in honor Armed Forces day & Memorial Day in May. Anyone out there with family members whom serve , please start picking out some pics to share. If any of you are intrested I know of a great military mom/family forum. I'll pray for you son's safety in Baghdad.

My boyfriend just joined the Army, he is in the ROTC here at school so he wont be going to Iraq until after he is done with school.

I always were a braclet that says "I support the troops" I don't wanna know what this place would be like with out all those honorable men and women out there. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Luvmypupster has a great idea getting the military families in touch. I also have a son-in-law in the Air Force stationed in Germany on a remote. He will probably be deployed to Iraq very soon.
I am a British G.I. bride, (not a war bride I'm not THAT old) so I really feel for the young wives that have to deal with military life, it can be really hard. I told my daughter in law yesterday that one more day doesn't mean one more that he is gone, it is one more until he gets back.
My love goes out to all the families that have their loved ones serving our country.

I guess we need to start a military thread under Off Topics. I had no idea there were this many of us on the forum. I'll gather some links to share with you and maybe we can help support one another.

Wow! I'm so glad that there are so many of us affiliated with the military AND Yorkie lovers. I know that there are at least four other people on my base who have Yorkies as well :)

Wow! There are a lot of people on here with military family!! That's crazy!! It's so nice to know that there are other people out there that know what I am going through! Military life is tough... and being a spouse of someone in the military is even tougher!! My husband only has 3 years left... and as I proud as I am of him, I am still very excited for these 3 years to be over with!!

I tried to post some pictures, but they said they were too big... I don't know how to "reduce" their size so I can post them.... :confused:

I need to take some more recent pictures of him in his uniform for ya'll. I will catch him right before he goes to work on Monday.

Thanl you to all of you military families. My dad was in the army but got out soon after I was born and then in the Air Force National Guard retired after his 20 yrs. I have always been around the miltary either from my father, to neighbors (live near NAS Jax.) and now with my boyfriend in the Navy. I am in awe on a daily basis.

I agree an off topic for the military would be good. I will be needing people to talk to soon. Eric will be shipping out in June (well that's what they say so far). We have know each other for 11 yrs andhis be in for 8 of those but we started dating after he came back for tour after 9-11. He broke his leg so hasn't had to deploy since, I tell him I'm not getting scared but I am. So support would be handy for me and I know for all of you that have your love ones away.

Envrobear, if you ever wanna talk, I am here. My very best friend is married to a sailor, and it makes it so much easier for both me and her to have eachother... because we have been through similiar things and such. Neither of our husbands have had to deploy yet though...

I work w/ my boyfriend and sometimes I will go into his office and tell him something I just read or whatever. The guy he shares an office with once said "Is yorkietalk a real place? that is pathetic" LMAO. He checked out the site and was like "You must be StewiesMom on here". He was reading my posts. It was awful. :D

I've been contemplating buying a lap top to take on vacation with me in June.....just so I can take you all with me!!! :p I'd hate to have to catch up a weeks worth of YT when I get back! Sounds justifiable to me! :D

im sooo obsessed with YT! i work graveyard shifts (11pm - 7am) and when i get home, i'm so tired.. but when i sit myself in front of my computer trolling YT i'm up all day.. and when im at work i think to myself.. i wish i could bring a laptop at work lol.. or i wonder what's going on on YT right now :p i love you guys! :D
