| Tornados & U're Babies...Do U ever? Hey guys, we had a tornado warning last night for our town...Well me being the fradie cat that I am, got Jestik (My 7.5 yr old) and put her in the hall closet seeing we don't have a basement. Called my older girl & then here ol' Mama Lee grab Teddy and Tiffanie and put them in their pet carriers and then here goes all for babies in one too and put them in there too...Do any of U do this too.. I mean my older girls (Ages: 22 & 20) think I'm nuts for doing this...But if I was to loose any of my babies human or dogs I'd die...What do U all do in such cases? |

| I take the warnings very seriously. I guess once you've lived through a tornado it's hard not too! I've only had Bella for 5mths and we haven't had a warning yet. Before her though, if a warning was issued (no matter where I was) I would always get my daughter (and cats if we were home) and head to the basement. I don't take chances with those warnings! |

| Theres NOTHING wrong w/ protecting your dog from a tornado...actually if you went and hid and left the dogs out and about then I would say you have a problem. Your older girls must not know how it is to actually love an animal and care for them as if they are a family member. |

| I've never been through a tornado warning or an actual tornado, but if I were, I would be sure to grab my pets. They are part of the family and I'd be devistated if anything happened to them. |

| I actually have an 'emergency suitcase' with blankets, clothes, copies of all important documents, some cash, water bottle, trail mix and of course treats and dog food because we would never go anywhere without our Mitzi baby. We don't had any tornado warnings here and they are not very likely as I was told but I would always take it seriously. Better safe than sorry! |

| We have tornado warning quite frequently here. I take all storms seriously. There is absolutely no way that I would jeopardize my 5 kids or my pets. If there is bad weather, we even bring our outside dog in! Now the goats, chickens, guinneas, ducks and geese.... I'm afraid that they have to fend for themselves! lol

| Yes we have tornado warnings just about everytime there is storm any more. We take all 4 Yorkies and our Golden Retriever either down in the storm cellar or pack up in the van and head the opposite direction. We did that back in April and we had 4 puppies too.

| We have tornado warnings here too and I take Reuger down to the basement with me when I go. My daughter will run out in the yard and get our airdale and bring her in too. She also packs a bag, when the weather is really bad, with all her favorite things, and takes it to the basement with her!
