When we got Chachi, we already had Ollie, so we let her show him around. They played and played and played untill they were both exhausted. Then they would crawl into their little clementine crate together and sleep. |

I took honey along to the airport for Chachi. I opened the crate and gave it to him immediatedly in case he hadn't eaten enroute. And he hadn't. We held him on the way home, the poor little guy was so frightened and shaking. Once home we put him down on the floor with Ollie, it only took about 5 minutes before they were playing. He was so happy to see another puppy. |

That's such a cute story, unfortunately Gia will be greeted by two cats (her brother Ash & her sister Reese). I'm not worried about Ash & Gia adjusting , Ash is easy going I'm more worried about Reese she's such a diva cat. i hope they can get along |

oh god, you just reminded me. My cat Bailey is gonna throw such a fit on saturday when i come home with Morgan. Bailey is such a spoiled baby, so i expect him to spend the first few days under the bed or couch or in a hole somewhere. He's gonna be pissed.... |

They usually do not eat or drink on the plane and therefore do not have to potty. But the pee pad is a good idea. |
Another question I had, when can I bring her outside or in the public? I mean like if I go to the mall can I bring her with me? I have a hair appointment on Friday and everyone is so excited to see her can i bring her or should i keep her home? (it will be her first day with me & I really don't want to leave her alone) |

played with her, showered her with kisses, and showed her where the pee pad was. |
As much as you want to share her with the world, hold off on taking her public places until puppy shots are completed. If you are planning to contain her to an area or a crate, get her very familiar with that area. Make sure she knows where food and water are. If you are planning to outside potty train, take her outside at least every two hours and tell her to "potty". If she goes, reward her with a treat (once inside). Other than that (and regular Nutrical), hug, kiss, hold, play with and spoil your little baby!!!! |

Yeah. A towel might be a good idea. The second time I gave Kacee a bath, she peed on me while I was blow drying her.:( |

oh, and don't let the Vet give all of the shots in one visit if you don't want a sore baby crying when you pick her up. Phoenix was sore for 2 days when he had 3 the first visit. Good Luck |
I just picked up my new puppy Nyx today and I am so excited. She's been really quiet and calm. She went to sleep as soon as she got home. I gave her some Nutrical before I took her home because its really hot and I put some paper in her kennel cab thankfully I did that cause she peed on the ride home. |
Thanks for posting such a great thread. I am now better prepared to bring my new baby home! |
