i think that whole pH thing was made up by doggie-supply companies to encourage their sales. to my knowledge, with a limited background in chemistry, not all shampoos or conditioners would have the same pH anyways. some are more acidic and some are more alkaline. so i image that if pH WAS a problem then there would be some human stuff that would work. conditioner is pretty neutral unless it has lemon extract or something like that. fructise is really gentle on people and pups. i'd say keep using it as long as you have no problems. oh and i'd use the conditioner before i'd use the shampoo cuz shampoos can be harsher and strip away natural oils. |
You're right, Mikey -- it is very gentle shampoo/conditioner. I have Lupus and my hair falls out easily so I have to use it. And I don't have to bathe Bobby as often because he doesn't go outside much -- just to do his business. It is SO flipping hot here that he wants to come in right after he potties. I don't blame him! Kaymo, bathing Bobby is so easy compared to collie baths, LOL! I'm done within 10 minutes and he dries in no time! Julie |
Snickers gets bathed every 1 - 2 weeks, we use the fructis garnier also and we have the 3 min conditioner it works great her hair is shiny and so easy to brush afterwards... Smells good to :) She gets brished daily, my daycare kids love to brush her and he will just lay there for them... |

I've used Garnier Fructis shampoo, Baby shampoo around her face and Pantene conditioner on Ruby since her first bath. We've had her two months, she gets a bath every 4-6 days. Her hair is soft, silky, no dry skin, easy to comb out and brush and she smells sooo good! |
Good to see that others have used this shampoo on their Yorkies!:) I'm glad I discovered it by accident! It's 3 days since I bathed Bobby and his fur is still soft, bouncy and looking good. I never saw results like that from the puppy shampoo I was using or even from the groomer! Julie |
