Thanks for the update. Your Yorkie family worries when one of our members has a sick little one. We will keep you in our thoughts today that everything works out okay and you can bring her home tonight. |

That update literally brought tears to my eyes. When I read that yesterday it was too late to give advice, I knew about hydrogen peroxide, but had no clue as how much to give. Thanks to this thread, I now do. You must have been going insane! I hope Bella gets well, what a NIGHTMARE! I kept thinking about you yesterday Tami, and kept checking back for an update. Perhaps we all learned something from this thread, I know I did. Kisses and hugs to you and little Bella….. |
I'm so glad you were able to get Bella the treatment she needed and that she appears to be doing OK! What kind of vet is on call for emergencies but cannot be reached? That one we will save for another day. All that matters now is that your baby is doing OK. You did a great job, Tami! |

Tami, we are so happy that Bella appears to be okay. We will continue to pray for good blood tests and hopefully you'll get a better nights sleep tonight. I can realte about getting emergency service. We only have one vet where we live and the closest town is four hours (driving) away. So if our vet is away... we are stuck!!! Only can call to a vet in Winnipeg and take advise or medivac them down... which I don't know if they will do that for a dog. Thanks to all that posted about the hydrogen peroxide. I really need info like that... could mean the difference between life and death. |

Phewww Bella is home! 2 Attachment(s) Hi all! I just wanted to let everyone know that I picked Bella up a little while ago. She is groggy but doing well. They did blood work that showed an elevation in a couple of things, and he is going to recheck them next week. He put a scope down her throat and into her belly and showed me the pic s. She has a raw irritated spot inside her stomach but gave me 2 differant meds that she will be on for a few days and it should take care of it. Poor little thing....those advil did a number on her....:cry8: Im going to just sit and cuddle and relax with her tonight (Louie is also so happy to have her home):yay_jump: :kiss4: .....Hubby wants me to go out on the boat tonight but NO WAY! I just need to be with Bella after that scare! Thanks again from Me , Bella, and Louie! |
Oh and I forgot to mention....When I went to pick Bella up I brought a little over $200.00 (almost 3) just to be safe........well turns out I was waaaaaaaaay off base. They charged me $605.00! I was really surprised :2omg: but she is worth it! |
