Welcome to YT and congratulations on the birth of the puppy. Having just one puppy is normal. Yorkies have small litters. With one to four pups being expected. As the other posters have suggested, I too think a vet check is good advice. Yes, Yorkies can and often will eat the afterbirth. Please make sure the Mama dog gets extra calcium while nursing, like a spoon of cottage cheese with or between meals. Best Wishes and again Welcome. |
