Males and females are both judged the same thing . Last week , I went to a dogshow where the females were in majority . For the money making , a reputable breeder don't make a lot . |
showing I am east coast and you see just as many bitches as dogs shown as a rule..what you do not see alot is a female champion Specialed like a male champion..she goes home to be a mommy ..the male can be bred and shown with no problems. Since the Bitch can take the Dogs points, bitches do not seen to be any harder to finish..even if there are few entered. BUT every area can be different I am sure. Since males/females are not shown together, the judge knows the sex of the group walking in the ring..ring steward announces everything. The judge knows it is Open Dog or Open bitch, puppy, American Bred etc..that is their job. LOL |
That makes a lot of sense that males and females would be separated. I should have realized tht since the males are intact! Duh! |

Rhapsody is a good line from Texas, Tonia has a very good line is also a very big name in handling. She handles for a lot of the top breeders. I think she has an adorable 6 month old male available for 2500. (they tend to run higher than yorkies) again females are hard to get from her as well. http://www.rhapsodymaltese.com/ Another Texas breeder is Veranda Maltese http://www.verandamaltese.com/ she has a real cute baby boy for 2000. Female pet pups are rare from here too. Another Texas breeder is Riverwalk he breeds and shows yorkies and malts. Bill is very nice and helpful. Don't know if he has anything available http://www.riverwalkkennels.com/rw_puppies.html I'm in Irving so we are just pretty near next door. if you want to venture out of Texas I know of more. All of the above lines are linked together. You will see a lot of the same names in their pedigrees |
