Before we switched Mitzi to raw food she sometimes smelled a little like 'circus' but now she doesn't have any odor only a nice one when I bath her. |
Tucker smells GREAT!!! I absolutely can't stand dog smell and that is actually why I got a Yorkie. My husband and I talk about how sweet he smells all the time. I love to stick my nose in his fur and smell him as I shower him with kisses. You know what dogs have a distinct odor? Labs! P U! |
I'm just stunned Maybe she has a very sensitive nose.... I'm stunned that a girlfriend, or ANYONE for that matter, would feel it was ok to vocalize their unsolicited opinion so freely like that. What ever happened to decorum? There is such a thing as keeping her opinion to herself. I just don't get it. really |
Conner smells like pixie sticks, but maybe that's because he is always carrying one with him!!!! Ignore the girlfriend. |
HUmmmm I had a friend that didn't like dogs but she got one for her teen girl, she have her daughter give a bath almost everyday because she keep saying that the dog stinks too. I think she is a very rude person for saying that to you though or she is just plain jealous:rolleyes: |
My 4 never stink, i bath them at least every 2 weeks, and keep a very clean home, i always ask my sis when they come over if they smell dog, i would want to know, they always tell me no, and i beleive them, they might get the rain smell , buts that unforseeable, weight babys do smell, but they do not stink, i would be affended to if someone said that about my kids. |
I think if they get wet, then they stink! |

I'm sorry to say but yorkies DO stink! I have had 2, many years apart and they are bathed weekly, usually sooner, and they do stink. I love them dearly but they are stinky, I don't know why. |
I know this is a very old thread, and a bit surprised it came up from the orginal date period. My 4 yr old yorkie does not smell at all. However she has a bad tooth and is scheduled to a dental soon, so sometimes she will have a little smelly breath , other then that no way. If something falls on her hair and it is not cleaned out then their could be a smell from what got onto her. You to maintain the coat of your dog, including dental care, if the hair is long you have to really maintain your yorkie's hair which can take a little time and effort on the owners part. If you have a smell on your yorkie tha will not go away, then it is time for a vet visit. i also have a shi tzu and she does not smell either, it is all a matter of grooming and caring for your dogs properly. |
Thats the first I have ever heard of this as well. I may be wrong but it seems like a read somewhere that yorkies were an oderless dog. Again not sure where I read this and maybe I just imagined it, but my little girl doesnt stink. |
It's her upper lip. |
lol :D All I can say is that Ahi smells a lot better than a lot of humans I know. :p |
