| Shaking???? Does any one else experience that their yorkies shake a bit? I have a 6 month old baby boy and sometimes he shakes. It is nothing that is so bad that it is deserving of a doctor but I was just wondering if mine was the only one that did this? My mother hasa 10 pound yorkie and she does not shake so this is new to me. I was thinking it is just because he is so small since he is always happy and never scared of anything!! Thanks!

| he may be cold, try putting him a blanket. he may also be hungry, or very tired. and its very possible he is just scared of something. good luck!

Princess had the shakes a few times when she was a puppy. I took her to the Vet and he told us it's because she's so small and everything is very big and new to her. Can you post some pictures of him, we would love to see him!

| Hope this helps Hey there, Tiffany also shakes. She is almost one. I dont really think its for any reason other than she is so small... maybe a little nervous. When she went to the vet last week she said it is nothing to worry about.

| Ella shook a lot when she was little but she has grown out of it now. She only shakes now after she has run in wet grass and gets cold. (She is 1yr 5mo) We were worried about it too but I think maybe some just do that. But chedking with your vet next time couldn't hurt. |

| My Sebastian is almost five months and he shakes when I leave for work. When I first got him, It made me feel horrible but I have come to realize that yorkies do have the tendendcy to do this. He has gotten better but on the weekends when I am with him all day, when Monday comes around he is back to shaking again. It could have a lot to do with their size or a number of things. Although, I don't think it's something to be extremely worried about.

Thanks![/QUOTE Pixie shakes when I carry her but not in her messenger bag or any bag. She shakes on elevators (actually vibrates), car rides, even when being held but just a few minutes. I attribute this to her breeder never socializing her outside the house. When Pixie first arrived, I realized she must have been in an x-pen at the breeders 24/7. She was completely happy to be there without 15 other dogs. She loves attention and flirting with anyone. I take her to the mall in her stroller and this helped. I also take her when I travel, used to shake but loved room service. She's a happy girl when I start packing. I own 3 different breeds of dogs and out of 3 breeders only speak to one. The other two really were only interested in selling the dogs not their well being. Yes, I did my research, one is the president of her club. The worst person to purchase a dog from, titles mean nothing. She lied about everything. I called her last night for papers since I sent her everything months ago and we kept getting cut off, so I'd call back. She was doing it on purpose. That's her mentality. I ignored it. I dislike her intensely. I usually don't work up that much emotion. Sorry I took over your thread. I wouldn't worry at this point. Jessica |

| A lot of people have posted about their Yorkies "shaking." There is a "shaking dog syndrome" that is common to many breeds - the Yorkie being one. If you're into doing some research - you can find out more about it on the Internet. ***** It was mistakenly called the "while dog shaking syndrome"- until it was learned that many other breeds and dogs have it as well. | I agree that it is due to their size. Pictures would be great!!

| N'Stein likes so much people that when he his in my arms an he wants to go to see the person I have in front of me he starts shaking. All the time I get the same reaction people are telling me "oh he is afraid". "No he is not afraid he is excited and wants to meet you and take a good sniff of you."

| Caren, I think shaking is pretty normal for small breeds, especially when they are tiny. Tiger rarely shakes now as he as grown to about 5+ pounds. . . My Annika shakes every now and then and probably because she is still tiny . . . |
