| Should I leave the radio on? I too feel the guilt of having to leave my yorkie alone all day while my husband and I are at work. We an area off in our kitchen with baby gates. She has an open crate, her bed, water, and toys. She is getting used to our morning routine now, and today she hid under the bed when I called her because she knew that I was going to leave and block off her little area. I read somewhere that leaving the radio on softly helps to ease their separation anxiety. Has anyone else heard this? Do you leave some music on? |

| noise I leave a small TV on...and when they are naughty, I make them watch Animal Cops, so they can see how terrible some poor dogs must live.LOL A radio works well also. |

| I've always done this I don't know if it helps them or not. Frankie's crate is in an area where he can see the TV so I leave animal planet on for him when I leave because he will watch it when we are home so I figure he does when we are gone too. But I used to leave the radio on for the cats all the time.

| I either leave on one of my 'soothing sounds" cds (natural sounds, rain, jungle, etc) or animal planet. Sandy sits there and watches it with me, it cracks me up - so I figure she enjoys the entertainment when I'm not there.

| I had no idea that dogs could be so into Animal Planet! I think Lucky would keep barking, but it would be fun to watch for a while. |

| i always leave a radio or the tv on, i know roxie hates when i leave, i put all her toys in the bathroom while im getting ready so she'll know im going to leave soon, and by the time i'm ready to put her in there, shes dragged all her toys to the living room one by one, i feel so bad leaving here during the day, if i didnt work at a doctors office, i would take her along! but i dont think they accept pets hehe! but i think the radio and tv soothes her, and helps her to feel more comfortable by herself, but of course when i get home, she gets much needed attention! |

| I always leave the radio on for Bailey, but watch what station you have on, On Fri. we go to dinner, and for weeks I came home, and there was a local game on... I thought who would want to listen to that for 2-3 hours??!! So I switched the station, so he would hear music rather than the games! ( daddy said he's already a girly boy... and listening to the game wouldn't hurt him) Ha. I said " No, he likes music better" Like I should know!

| Wow... Bailey must feel alone when I leave because I don't leave ANYTHING on for him... But then again, our electric bill is outrageous right now due to the air conditioning being on 24/7, we can't afford to leave the t.v. when we're not home... |

| I leave the radio on for Stomper Mon-Fri when I work (full-time). I am not sure it helps, but I do it anyway! It can't hurt to hear the noise!

| I leave the Radio on the news station for Sheila. I must have a very well informed yorkie She is no problem at all when I leave her, she gets run of the place and so far has been very good. Whenever I get home I can tell she's just waking up from a nap. I don't leave her for more than about 3 hours though and she's in daycare all day when I'm at work. |
