Whatever you do, don't ........... Quote:
Please do some research here at Yorkietalk on jeff dane and his website yorkiepup.com..............OMG.........I have personal experience with them. I now have a baby that has congestive heart failure , taking 2 different meds for the rest of it's SHORT life. This baby is going to die! Of course I have been through a whole gamut of emotions for months now, and if I can help just one person this is my quest! Please don't help finance this creeps 'glorified puppy mill'.........he has sick pups and will not hesitate to pawn them off on innocent 'wanna baby yorkie now buyer'............... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE............! :thumbdown :thumbdown |

May I ask why you're interested in a female versus a male? Please don't misunderstand my reason for asking, just curious is all. See, back when I got my first yorkie, I wanted nothing but a female - and got one. Over the years, I've always told myself I would never own a male dog that stayed inside my house!! Either a female or I wouldn't get it. Well....I had an opportunity last spring ('05) to "rescue" a male from someone who couldn't care for him. I debated the fact he was a male but finally, my heart won and I went and picked him up. Boy, was I ever wrong about having a male in the house - he has been GREAT! I won't lie, until I had his manhood taken away, he would hike his leg to potty - on the garbage can, on the computer desk - those were his 2 favorite places! But after I had him altered, he went from a hiker to a squatter and I have no more hiking in the house - belly bands have been put up! So I guess what I'm saying in my "long winded" message here is, don't rule out getting a male. They are just as sweet and precious as the females - I have one of each so, like others here who also have one of each, I can tell you they are both loveable. If you have a chance to get a male puppy, please don't pass him up simply because he's not a female. Trust me, you won't regret it! Either way, male or female, best of luck to you in your search. Hang in there however hard it may seem to you - you'll have your precious furbaby before you know it! Hugs to you, Suzi |
I got Sammi :2hearts2: out of Richmond, In. and paid $600.00 for her.The breeders welcomed me into their home, provided pictures of litters, are AKC reg.and all the puppies were beautiful with great markings. There were 4 puppies.3 female and a little male:) I took one look at Sammi :p and said thats my girl. The breeders even met us halfway when we went to get her so we didn't have to drive so far.Lisa ( the breeder) had already started training Sammi to go potty outside and is very precise in her lineage .papers and meds. I have found several breeders in In.that price their puppies 400- 850.00.I really think a lot of the pricing depends on where you live and of course as my groomer said" Yorkies are the in thing, everybody wants one and they want the tiny ones, price goes up". I can provide a couple breeders names if you want them,a couple I have not been to see their puppies though. Good luck finding the one for you :heart to |
i totally understand! my hubby told me he would get me another yorkie baby then when i say something about it to him about prices and people he just blows me off and doesn't want to be included then the next time he will ask questions and seem interested! so confusing aggrivating . when i find some at a good price they are too far away or sold. then there are breeders who will sell to anyone quickly as possible and even puppy brokers so they seem shady or greedy? well i understand but don't give up you'll find a baby and it will be worth all the frustrations! that's what i keep telling myself. |
I'm sorry that you are having a difficult time finding and getting a Yorkie but when the time is right you will find the perfect one ;) .. I too waited what seemed like forever to get my first Yorkie but oh my ,it was worth it :D Good luck and you might consider a rescue dog, there are lots of young females that would give you all their love and more.Just a thought. My best wishes go out to you :) |
