| ![]() I am new to the group - hoping to get my first Yorkie in a couple of weeks! I was wondering if someone could tell me what it means to be AKC registered. I know that stands for American Kennel Club but don't know what the benefits of that are. Thanks! ![]() |

| ![]() Tucker<-- $400 from a BYB. He has a liver shunt, but he is worth everything, I love him like a child. Tripp<-- $150 from a Yorkie Rescue Group. He is my sweetheart. and I am thrilled we could give him a place to call home-where he is very loved.

| ![]() Malibu was FREE...he is the product of my in-laws yorkie and a friend of theirs yorkie. He is registered. It is nice that he was free to us but he would have been worth the $1,000 they were asking everyone else. |

| ![]() Jersey (female Yorkie) AKC $500 or $550 shes one year old now and weighs 3 pounds and has never been sick a day in her life so I don't agree with "you get what you pay for". Simon (male Yorkie) CKC $400 came from same breeder as Jersey, he's a gorgeous little boy. and my non-Yorkies Tank (English Mastiff) AKC $800 got him when he was 16 weeks old Journey (English Mastiff) AKC $450 she came to us at 9 months old Piper (English Mastiff) AKC $1275 born on Mother's Day '06 coming home in July

| ![]() Hannah was $300 and is AKC. Although this was almost 8 years ago, and prices have definately gone up. I got her from a lady close by who only had a couple litters a year. She owns both parents and Hannah is healthy as could be. |

| ![]() no... he's only 7 months. we've talked about it... he has champion blood lines. people have told me he's the prettiest yorkie they've ever seen! he really is beautiful, healthy, and smart. I think price can also vary based on where you live... What's the difference between AKC, ACA, and CKC?
