To prevent having fake calls, I wouldn't put any found signs up and just look for 'LOST' ones. If the owner really cared they would put them up ;) I found Buddy and what I learned was that after a month the dog is yours. Of course that might be different for where you live. |
If you do decide to put up found signs. Just say dog found. do not tell what kind. |
That's a good idea. Make the owner inquire more by just saying dog found. I really wonder if this lady that claimed the one just didn't want the other 2. I just can't seem to justify the fact of finding 3 yorkies but different owners. Who knows. You have gotten alot of good advice though. Good Luck! |

In my opinion, the real owners do NOT deserve to get these sweet babies back if they didn't take care of them in the first place (fleas, ticks, choke collar, no id etc) They're probably better off in a pound where someone responsible will take them home and love them! But that's just my opinion |

You can get Capstar from your vet to kill the fleas on the really infested one. Works super fast, like in an hour or so and only lasts 24 hours. Theyn I would treat the entire gang with Frontline or Advantage. I use the Frontline spray, two sprays for long hair, one for short per pound and it works great for a month. It is messier than the topspot but soooo much cheaper. I can treat both dogs for 5-6 months with one $25 bottle. PM me for application questions if you have any...it is really easy. In the meantime, wash him in Dawn or Joy dish soap...it will kill the fleas. Good luck finding them homes. |
