2 Attachment(s) OK, here she is..I think she is cute!! |
Thanx for posting them. She has a very normal looking face with the tan hair but the shiny part of her back is actually blue shin...Thickened and blue in color,,, |
She looks so sweet..what a special girl!! Scrappy is overweight, also...he is my in-law's Yorkie...I try to work on that when he is here--more exercise!! |
My Bell is 2 yrs 3 months and shes SILVER!!! Her mother was sliver and her dad, Black and tan.. I was hoping that she would stay blk, but what the heck, Love her anyway ;) , Heres the question?? People tell me shes not a PURE Yorkie beacuse of her coloring and her size, Shes tall (around 12 inches at the shoulders) and weights in at around 8.5 lbs... I have the papers (even thought I really know that doesn't mean anything) and I believe I saw the mother and father ( They said they were hers) So what is everyones elses opinion?? What do you guys think?? :aimeeyork |
Who's telling you she's not purebred? If it is coming from people who really know yorkies then maybe they are correct but if not I wouldn't worry about it. I had people say that about my purebred yorkie all the time because he was bigger than most (eleven pounds). They didn't know what they were talking about. |
Actually, a woman who had a small yorkie told my husband that becasue Bell was bigger, she was probably a "Silkie", and then another woman told my sister in law (who was babysitting Bell at the time) That Bell was not a yorkie because she was silver !! It kills me!! Bell is bigger and more silver then what I wanted, But I love her so much :p and I know in my heart she is a prue breed!!One reason I'm concerned is because I do plan on having 1 litter with her and if I have more than one puppy I will end up putting the others up for adoption-(sale) and I don't want people telling me I'll trying to pass off a mutt for a pure breed. ( even though I love mutts too!) :) |
Drake is a "blue" 1 Attachment(s) My little Drake is a blue born yorkie! He is 5 months old and as healthy as can be....very energetic, and I do mean VERY!!! lol |

My Opinion Hi, I am a new member and I was just looking around, I saw the question about Silkie or Yorkie and thought I should reply, I have what some people call a teacup or toy yorkie. But he is really a purebread, I did months of reasearch before purchasing him and even talked to AKC Judges, etc. Any yorkie that is over 6/7 Pounds is either not purebread or could be a silke, purebread full grown yorkies should be between 4 and 6/7 lbs full grown so everyone that says when they are that small is wrong, but it is possible that the bigger one could be a silkie. I have noticed that everyone on here loves there pets very much so if you're happy then why does it matter, lol. Also, some yorkies have silver on there crown (as bentley does) but i don't know why it would be on there whole bodies, although i must say that puppiesshould be all black/tan and they should start becoming silver around 12/14 weeks. Well, I hope that I helped, and I didn't want to offend anyone, just wanted to share all of my hard work. |

The male I bred Abbie with is a Silver/Blonde yorkie. He is so handsome. I hope the babies come out looking like him. His color was so pretty. So does that mean there is something wrong with him or am I really confused? |

My little black and tan Bisco is now turning silver on his head with some silver on his body.He looked like a doberman at first, but now he looks way different than from when we got him. |
My daughter has a silver, blue yorkie female, when she was purchased as a puppy , her hair was like it should be, but when she shed to go to adult coat . it didn't come in right. I couldn';t see the picture of the other blue, and I can;t get my picture to upload. so I can't post it. |
