| Question about Lacey :) I have a question about my yorkie Lacey, She sleeps alot of the day and I was wondering if this is normal she will be 4 months old next week. She does get up and eat and she will play around for 20-30 mins. but then its right back to sleep. I'm sure its just because she is still a puppy, but I thought I would just ask to be sure. Also If is she sleeping alot because she is still young, will she become more active with age?

| I am sure she is fine. When my pups were younger like that they slept alot more than they do now at 1 year old.

| I would agree, it's normal and healthy for a baby. |

| Don't worry.... The average dog sleeps 12 to 14 hours a day - house dogs more. Puppies really do sleep a lot - then when they get older they sleep less for a while -- and then as they get older, they begin sleeping more. We should worry about this - we should envy them!!!! If you can get up with your dog and spend the entire day doing interesting things with him - he'll stay up and be active and love doing it. But, most of our dogs are left on their own for hours ever day to find things to entertain themselves, and a great deal of their sleeping is just because they have nothing more exciting to do. | As everyone else has said, this is normal for a puppy. Twinkie is over a year old and she sleeps about 20 hrs a day! (She's sooooo lazy!)
