YT 5000 Club Member | I have a question please! Ok here are a couple of pics of Chloe! She is almost 6 months old and 3 lbs 8 oz! She is my little baby! This is a question about her hair! I thought she might be red legged at first but I don't think that she is now. I am hoping someone else's pup maybe grew hair like Chloe's. Is it just slow growing? Also she has dandruff pretty bad. I waited 2 wks between giving her a bath and it is still pretty bad. Do you guys recommend anything? Thanks to anyone who has any info!!!

| Twinkle is almost 6 months old too (3 nov) she looks as if she is in the same stage as your little one. She has had dandruff too, mainly towards her back end. I use a mild puppy shampoo, that can be used weekly, and give her a regular bath on sundays - seems to be helping. |

| What kind of puppy shampoo do you use? Maybe you need to use a leave-in conditioner? I use Earthbath's oatmeal shampoo for Aggie's dandruff. Then, spray on the leave-in conditioner. Aggie's going to be 6 months old on Monday. |

YT 5000 Club Member | Thanks everyone! I have been using an oatmeal shampoo on them that I got from Petco. It does great on Gidget's hair, but not Chloe's! And that is sooo odd about the dandruff b/c it is on the back of Chloe too and not on the top half of her body! Thanks I am going to petco and petsmart today!!!

| my 9 week old had what i described as dandruff on her back half, but my vet said it wasn't dandruff it was the skin cells not sloughing properly. He sold me some Sebolux shampoo made by Virbac Animal Health. The bottle says a medicated shampoo for dogs and cats. it says it is an antiseborrheic and keratoplastic. So i would guess it is seborrhea and not dandruff. anyway, it worked, i used it for about a month or so and now he is 14 months and i haven't seen it since. i think you can buy human products for seborrhea also. |
