Hey Angie.... I was the same way... I only have a tiny boy and everybody else is a standard. My MaeMae is 5.5 lbs and she is the one I tote around everywhere... she is not that heavy to me... she is perfect. I took my tiny out a few times but I got so nervous when people want to hold him and he's so small I was afraid people would kick him by accident........

Congratulations. She looks absolutely gorgeous. I feel compelled to point out though that there is a thread further down this page where people are saying how awful it is that Yorkies are being bred so small (in this instance by a known unscrupulous breeder). I'm sure your breeder is fine (although she seems to be breeding more than one type of dog which, according to what I've read on this forum, can sometimes be an indication of a puppy mill) but I still can't help feel slightly uncomfortable about a dog being deliberately bred this small having any quality of life as a dog should. I don't really get why people want dogs this small. Will you just have her in your handbag most of the time?

It wasnt that I was looking for one this small. I just happened to find her. I live in a small town and couldnt believe I found her 5 miles down the street from me! (The last dog I got came from Ohio I think- I am in Mississippi) So I couldnt help but scoop her up! She just happens to be teenie tiny. I love her all the same though! She had her checkup and shots today and the doc says she is perfectly healthy at 2.5 lbs. She says she wont grow anymore. The woman I got her from is not a puppy mill, she just breeds for hobby. Very nice and clean woman and pets.

Well it sounds like you got a great little gem! She certainly is lovely :) . Did you manage to see her parents? Were they very small? Mine was very small but the mum and dad were kind of average - five and four pounds respectively. Were the other puppies quite small too?

Her owner said she was the smallest of the litter. Her parents are both 4 lbs.... She was purchased to be bred (From the Co-Breeder) but never got big enough. How does that happen for the baby to be 2 lbs full grown when the parents are bigger?
Her brothers and sisters were all bigger

Unfortunately, it could be because the dog has a liver shunt. That's why i asked if you had tested for this.

Yeah, I don't know! It's weird isn't it? My breeder said very occasionally she would get a 'tiny' but she had a lot of trouble selling these (I guess it's different in England... everyone wants a Yorkie Tea Chest! Haha!) and she didn't know why it happened because the breeding line was all in that weight range (about four to five pounds). She's pretty much predicted his growth weight almost to the ounce and week which I find bizarre seeing as most people don't seem to know how it'll work out. It's a subject of much discussion on here... some have very small puppies that land up being their biggest dogs and others have bigger puppies that just stop growing sometime. I guess the most important thing is that they're happy, healthy and loved. Everything else is just academic really :) (your Tiffany looks like she has a great pedigree by the way. I like it when they give official documentation like that)

I think you bought her from one of our YT members: barbg402 I looked on the website you gave, and I think it's her because the pic she uses in her avatar is the same as the picture of Cassie on the site. :D

Didn't she just have one pass away and one very sick at the first of the month from parvo?

Her Juice passed away, but I don't remember from what. :cry8:

Yes I do believe that is her! She was very nice. I am so thankful for baby Tiffany. She is such a blessing to me!

Yes, I think that Juice did pass away from Parvo and another dog got sick with it, too, but made it.

I take that back..Juice showed all the signs for Parvo, but tested negative..rest in peace little guy..Cassie was the other little pup that had it...and all back to back..how horrible :(

Your little furbaby is such a cutie, what a darling little face...I was sorry to read about your previous little fella...am glad you were able to find a special babe to love ....hope to see lots of pics now that she is home. :)
