| ![]() I'm so bummed out. I gave Susie a short hair cut and she looks just dreadful. I'm job hunting and it's NOT a good time for frills like groomers, so I felt like I had to do it myself. She had seven inches of hair. Now all gone. She looks like I took a weed wacker to her, poor thing. At least since she's cotton coated it will grow back quickly. But I need some YT sympathy. I wanted her to be comfortable. We're trying to keep AC bills down and it's already unseasonably warm here. You can usually count on April to have lots of days with no heat or AC on, but it was in the 90s today. I didn't turn on the AC and Susan would have been miserable in a full coat. She seemed perfectly happy with her little short coat. But she looks like a badly shorn tiny black and tan lamb, poor little thing. One good thing -- she's delightful to pet, soft as a powder puff. Comfort this distraut mamma, YTers! |

| ![]() My first attempt at grooming wasn't so great either. did you use a clippers or a scissors? I always just use a scissors, it takes longer but I feel that I have more control. You can even it out as you notice the uneven spots. Make her a little dress to wear and no one will know. |

| ![]() Awww.... there is no such thing as an unattractive yorkie! Treat it as a learning experience - next time you will do much better. I'm sure she still looks adorable. ![]() ![]()
