With males (unlike females) neutering at an earlier age does not have increased health benefits. Your baby (and Joey) are very small, i don't think you're being overly cautious at all to worry about the anesthesia. Anesthesia is a real concern. i would, at the very least, wait until the dog is at least a year so you can remove any remaining baby teeth at that time. also, neutering is not a guarantee that your dog will not mark and there are studies that support incontinence and other health issues may be related to castration and lack of male hormones. |
