Actually, my daughter is multi-challenged (wheelchair), and it drives my friends up the wall when my response to an unexpected expense is: "I guess we'll just have to put Hannah in her chair on the street corner, selling pencils!" LOL (oh, c'mon! Ya gotta have a sense of humor about life!) Anyway, I think the sign thing would work great. Just be sure to parade him about in the posh section of town, where there is more chance of cash flow. ;) Oh...and, see if he can muster a forlorn look about him while he's at it. Quote:

If anything arose for Yogi or any other future furballs in our family, medically or otherwise, we have the means and way to provide only the utmost care for our dogs. I just meant that coming up with a lump sum at once is a little difficult right now. | Same here. The only way I have Abigail is from a web site contract. I knew it was unlikely I'd have that lump sum again, any time soon. And, like you, I couldn't bring myself to ask the breeder for a payment plan. When I saw Miss Abbie's face - I just hadda have her! And, as far as vetting goes - yes, I get nervous when I read all the things that can happen in the life of a Yorkie. But, I think we'll manage. Abbie's first visit to her new vet (I switched after 11 years - long story) was almost $167 - and they didn't even do bloodwork! I took both Abbie and Mozart (mixed) in this month, to the tune of almost $300. Thank goodness they will take a "substantial downpayment" and bill for the balance! I already want another Yorkie so badly I can taste it; but, I know we're at our responsible limit. Quote:
