| Yorkie at petstore I went to my local pet store this weekend to get some dog treats. I saw the cutest little yorkies. They looked so lonely i wanted to take them home with me but they were asking like 1500 a dog and these dogs were brother and sister. They had to sadest little faces. I felt so sorry for them. |

| pet stores make me sick... i cant stand knowing where the puppies parents are... or how sick the babies are... its not fair... i dont even bother walking by it in our mall anymore. and i know some people just get one because they want to save it, but it bothers me because they dont understand that getting one will just make room for more to be born, and the demand to get higher.. its a vicious cycle.

| Im so glad we cant buy puppies or kittens in pet shops over in uk,i wonder if they will ever ban it in america? i think it should be stopped right now, those poor poor little babies,in america do you have to show identification or does the pet shop do a police check on potential buyers? if not i dread to think what sorts of homes these little angels are going to. |

this just breaks my heart. Not only for yorkies, but for any dog sold at a pet store. You can just walk in buy them not knowing where they REALLY came from. Take them home, then decide that you don't want to keep them anymore for one reason or another. Or you take them home and you find out that they have some kind of health problem. Then these poor little ones either end up at rescues or shelters. What a sad life for them. Just breaks my heart. And this should not even be legal at all.

| They don't sell dogs and cats from pet stores in my city either...i'm so glad 'cause i'd want to 'save' them all, though I know logically that when I buy, they breed more to replace them. It's a heartless business and hopefully one day it'll be illegal. |

| So sad! Pet stores should sell food and toys, not pets. They don't care about them, or take care of them. it's all for the $$$$$$$$
