I would totally try another groomer. No good groomer would expect perfect behavior from a 4 month old puppy. Nor would a good groomer be surprised if he peed a couple times even if she did take him out (which I don't think she did). Further more, no good groomer would ever criticize someones baby like that even if it were true (which it was not - his ears are perfect and his coat looks really nice). Don't give up, there are great groomers out there. Asking other dog owners who they use is a great idea. I'm sure you will find out who the good groomers in your area are. |

I'd definitely get another groomer. Her attitude towards a PAYING CUSTOMER is appalling! |

:yeahthat: I agree with everyone; change groomers. This woman obviously had a bad day, and was blaming the dog. . . Well, of course he was nervous and scared -- it was his first time. She should have been patient with him, and overlooked any annoyance. Next time he will do better; especially if he gets a groomer that actually likes dogs. Definitely do the cut you want -- his hair looks very silky to me. She was so negative about everything I don't think she was willing to do the correct yorkie cut. Sorry for your experience, but don't let that lady discourage you!!! :yorkiesar |

thank you Thank you all again for your advice...I am certainly checking out a new groomer. Today i talked to a friend and she put it best, my pets are like my kids and there is a good way to criticize and a bad way, she put everything the groomer said and put it in different words and it came across so much better. I don't think any of us want negative things said about our babies if they are in that kind of tone. His time sitting there was too long and because she seemed so flustered by him, and the way she spoke to me, I can only imagine how she spoke to my babie.....Thanks for listening... |
