| I'm losing Murphy! As some of you may remember, I have a Yorkie, Jasmine and a Westie, Duffy. After Christmas, my daughter and her husband split up and she moved her and the girls into an apartment as they were going to sell the house and split the profits in the divorce. My granddaughter Tori has a Yorkie, Murphy. She couldn't keep him in the apartment because pets were not allowed. I offered to keep him for her as she loved him very much and it would have hurt her very much to have to give him up permanently. Well, they have found a house and will be moving this weekend. Tori is so happy because it has a fenced in yard and everything and she will be able to take Murphy back to live with her. I am thrilled for her. She really misses Murphy and he is so glad to see her when she comes to visit. She usually comes to spend the night about once a week. He sleeps with her on those nights and is so happy to be with her and vice versa. PROBLEM: I am really going to miss him. At first having three dogs was a little hectic but now I am used to it and Murphy is such a sweet baby. He is very laid back and loving. Much quieter than my two. I am also afraid that he will be lonely during the day. The girls will be in school and my daughter will be at work and they have no other pets. I work but my husband is home with the babies most of the day and Murphy has the other two, Jasmine and Duffy, to play with. I am afraid he will really miss them. I told myself I wouldn't get too attached to him because I knew I would have to give him up but how do you keep from it? I know my two will miss him also. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | You could always offer to dog sit while they are away. It's sad when situations like this come up. I think it's time for you to get a new furbaby!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That must be hard. Will they be close enough to drop Murphy off 1 or 2 times a week on their way to school or work

| Bless you heart! It's a tough situation, but i would offer to dog sit for him a few times a week so that he can at least play with his friends at your house. As posted above, i think you need to start a puppy search

| My granddaughter lives about 20 miles away in another town so I can't dog sit during the day. I told her she would have to bring him everytime she comes over. I just worry about him being lonesome. Maybe I will have to get another furbaby. hmmm! I'll work on hubby. |

| Maybe your daughter can get another dog for their house? Maybe a rescue. I know that won't solve the problem of you missing him, but i would make him not so lonely!! |
