Who is interested in a Texas Meetup? Im not a very good organizer of anything but I would love to have a DFW meetup. Anyone in the area want to help me get one started? Would anyone be interested in going? |

The beginning of May sounds cool. We are going on a cruise starting on May 24 and will not be back until May 29th. This is first time I will be leaving Rocky behind, he normally goes everywhere with us. |
AWW DARN I would love to too but I live farther down.. the weekend of May 5th I'll be in San Marcos but that's about as close as I get ..... |
Shana if you need any help let me know...we had a blast at the last meetup and really would love to have another one!! I think the first weekend in May is great, we are busy on Saturday but would love to meetup on Sunday....just let me know!! |

I have not been there yet, I just remembered it was there. We could always try the Botanical Gardens (I don't now if pets are allowed or not) or that Log Cabin Park across from the FW Zoo. |

Well I looked on the botanical gardens website and couldnt find anything. I also tried to call the number but it doesnt give an option to talk to someone. I kinda doubt they let pets in. I just have a feeling they dont |
I have been wanting to Rocky and my step daugher, so I can some picks of them in the flowers. Let me know what you find out. |

I just spoke to the operator at the Botanical Gardens (pressed 0 for operator), and the lady I spoke with made it very clear that pets were not allowed. |
Just had another idea of a place. On Grapevine Hwy (aka Blvd 26) before you get to 114 there is a do-it self car wash on right hand side, that has a dog park right behind it. It has a doggy obstacle course!!! |
alright! another meet up! I would love to bring Apple the first week of may works for me. I have taken Apple out to the southlake park a couple of times and it is nice. but not as well established as the fortwoof one. I like the soulthlake one better for a meet up tho because there is usually NOBODY out there so it would just be us yorkie crazy people. :D :aimeeyork |
We have never been to the Southlake dog park either but would love to try it out....and it would be great if we could bring some treats!! We are actually busy the whole first weekend of May, but can meet anyother time that month...just let me know when everyone else is free and we will work around what we can!! |
There is also a big dog and small dog park at White Rock Lake. And yes I am interested in a meet-up. Used to live in Dallas, now live in Plano. If it is the first week of MAy, we are talking about a weekend right, and not a week day? Let me know what I can do, if anything. James |
I'd LOVE to but the price of gas is killing us. We may have to cancel our vacation because of it. :( |

Do you guys think the first weekend in May would be busy becasue wont it be when people celebrate cinco de mayo? Do you think that will have any effect on that weekend? Should we do the second week in May? Im thinking the southlake park sounds pretty good since its not as crowded and we can bring treats. |
Cindy, Maybe we could put something together for South and East Texas at South Padre Island? It's a great place for a mini-vacation and dogs are allowed at the beach! Is anyone interested in a South Texas meetup? Julie |
