Missy, on dogster we have like 26 Indiana yorkies in the club. I wonder how we can get them to particiate in this. I posted a thread about it, but havent really heard much from anyone. Any ideas on that???

Yeah missy aka yougetthesmiles..her and I are meeting friday at browne county to camp for the week-end. I can't wait to meet everyone. I haven't paid much attention to the thread cause i didn't think i was going to be able to go..so is there anything i should know? How are you doing the gift exchange..are we picking someone to exchange with or are you doing that?

I thought if we dont have alot of people coming then we will exchange names and do it that way, so that it's more personal for the Yorkie. The only thing that you have to decide is that if you have more than one dog, do you only want one gift $20.00 or one for each???? (which could get expensive) That a decision you can make individually. I think it will be so much fun. hopefully we can get more people, if not we will still have alot of fun. I would like to do this yearly. Each time putting a new person in charge so that all the meetup arent the same. (just a thought)

Well I have two yorkies and would like to put them both in so maybe there is someone that also has two that would like to put theirs in and spend 10 on each instead of 20..Cause i have to say with getting a new pup..and going camping..i'm not gonna have alot of money to spend..do you think that would be ok..i dont' mean to sound cheap..just broke lol
Do you know how many are coming yet? I still have to ask my oldest if he can get off work..if he can then i'm sure he will want to bring his girlfriend..so that will put me up to 7 people..wait i just asked him and he said he doesn't know if he can or not..so it will be either 5 of us or 7 I will let you know..Has their been a list of food people are bringing so we don't all bring too much of the same thing? Missy and I will be limited on what we can cook cause we will be camping..but there is still plenty of things that we can make and bring..we will just have to be creative or make it ahead of time lol..I'm really looking forward..did you get my list of games for the kids and everyone? Did you decide on which ones you were gonna play? Let me know if you need my help..

As far as food goes. Just let me know what dish or two you want to bring. We will also need chips, cookies, ketchup, mustard, relish, etc. stuff like that maybe Christy and Missy can do some of those since they are camping and whatever else you can think of. I'll make a pasta salad, potato salad, and a oreo cookie dessert called dirt pudding. I'll pick up hamburger and buns and hot dog buns.. Lynn has a case of hotdogs that she is bringing. Let me know what you think. Janet is coming early to help set up with me (I think I'm right) Let all pray for no rain. What would be do if it does rain.....Stay under the shelter... Play in the rain....hahahahahaha !!!!!!!

Well for the love of pete..I forgot about Dante again lol..i swear i wont' forget him when he comes to live with me lol..so I will have 3 yorkies ...but i can't put all in..i don't have the money to do that..

Denise he will be 5 months the 29th..I will be picking him up the 22nd of this month. That's why I keep forgetting him lol..he isn't here in my home yet. I will see if I can put him in the gift exchange but with 4 kids and just starting out breeding..well you know the expenses there..they are lots lol..but worth every penny.
Missy and I haven't talked yet but I was thinking of the baloon toss as one of the games for the kids. We might line up one more. I know we will be busy with alot of other stuff. But my oldest daughter I will probably put her in charge of that if it's ok..maybe her and branna ..missy's oldest..or my other daughter chelsie..the older kids can help with the younger ones. we could even do a buddy system if you want when we are busy or if the kids want to play games or something. I'm sure it will all fall in place. You never said if you have a list of food yet. So we all know what to bring. Are we all bringing our own drinks as well or how is that going to work? And what about shots and stuff? Are we to bring something saying our dogs are up to date or is there anything we need to bring from the vet or what?

I'll have a big cooler with ice etc. or everyone can bring small coolers for your drinks. whatever everyone whats to do??? That sounds great about the games. I think that would be a great idea about the treats..i would post the ingredients though in case anyone's yorkie has allergies to food. I will put together a list tonight to see what i want to bring..I dont' know about you but i'm really getting excited about this..It really sounds like it's going to be alot of fun.

i'm really excited. I went on line today and email the Indiana rescue and invited anyone in there office and any yorkie owners that they know. I already received one email from a lady who is coming with her 2 yorkies. She is also a yorkie foster parent. I was thinking. There are so many things that these rescue places need, What if we make the exchange $15.00 and buy something for $5.00 for the yorkie rescue and donate it to them. She said she is sure she will have many more who want to attend with there yorkies. We wouldnt need to change the flyers because I would just tell them when they email me about it. (this is just a thought??????) Let me know what you think. I am getting really excited!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! oh yeah Parker is too.

oh yeah we dont have to have proof of shots, etc. because we arent using the dog park. therefore they said it doesnt matter.

so where is the shelter at? I looked at a Indy map today and found eagle creek park, but it looks pretty big, are you going to make up signs for people to follow?

Denise, May 20 sounds good to me and my mom count us both in. I'm not on here until very late at night so if something changes could you or someone else PM to let me know. I didn't know of the date change until 11:30pm today.
