Gracie began to sleep with us when I finally could not take only getting three hours a night of sleep....she would cry if she was in the crate. So that was when she was about 4 months old |
I started out with Trixie sleeping in her crate. Then when she was 6 mo, my husband was gone a lot and I let her sleep in my bed. Right now (at 1-years-old), I am doing a combination. She starts out in her crate. But when she starts whimpering a little at night, I take her out and put her on the bed... |
Georgie slept with me from the day I brought him home. He curled up in my arms and went to sleep, I am sure he slept better than I did I was nervous he only weighed 1lb at 10 weeks! |
We had Badger in a crate next to our bed for the first couple of weeks but he got so good with his paper training, we brought him out and now he has a little puppy basket by our bed. I've recently had him sleep on the bed during the day while I'm working or when we're watching TV in the room and just to be on the safe side, I leave a bit of folded up paper for him at the end of the bed but he's not used it yet. I'm quite good at looking out for the signs now and put him down when he needs to go. I'll wait a few more months until he's bigger and near to perfectly potty trained and then I'm going to have him sleep with us all the time |
Alphy sleeps with me and so does my Golden (sad now that I think about it...no man..oh yeah, back on track). :D Alphy sleeps as close to Abby as she can. I did discover that he's been sneaking off in the middle of the night and peeing, so I got him some belly bands. Seems to be working ok. |
My male, Odie, is now 7 months old. He was having the same problem and like you said, it is hard to hear a 3 pound dog walking around the bed when you are partially dead. Odie did not stop having accidents in the bed until around 5 1/2 months. Hopefully this stops for you soon. Let me know how things go. |
