| Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali has been scratching a lot the past few days, no fleas, shw was just groomed. All night she has been up mostly scratching her one side of her face. I just got up to look at her and first I stepped in pee, my pomeraian had an accident and then I see she also pooped on the floor, well anyway I look at Cali's face and right above her left side of her lip it's all red and raw and hair missing. I will call to see if I can get her in to the vet today but does anyone know what this could be and anything I can put on it until I get her to the vet to stop the itching?

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh that is miserable for her....and you too to watch...poor girl. I don't know if this will help her but when Chanel got itchy from playing in the water so much... I used a SKIN CONDITIONER on her - within a few hours she stopped scratching...I got it at Petco for 8 $....It's called Veternarians Best Moisture Mist Skin Conditioner.....just spray on lightly and massage in and it conditions the skin....It really REALLY helped with Chanel |

				   | I wonder if the groomer used something new on her that she is allergic to. I know that sometimes Oscar comes home itchy and he has also come home with fleas. For awhile there I got Capstar from the vet and gave him one on the way home. It kills fleas pretty quick. She may have just one flea on her that is causing her all this misery. I hope she is feeling better soon.

				   | You could try a little baby benodryl my vet suggests that when Bailey was going through his Itching.. it helped a lot.

				   | This happened to Chloe one time right on her neck! When I took her to the vet. I thought it was a ringworm. But he said that it was from a bite or something that got irritated and she kept scratching and it turned into a big patch, all of her hair fell out around it. He gave me some antibiotic cream and it cleared up really fast!

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | Thanks for the great advice. I have an appointment at the vet today at 2. When I told the girl who it was for she just laughed and said Oh no not poor Cali again! I'll keep you posted.

				   | Patti - how miserable for your little dog. This time, I think a trip to the vet is definitely in order - this problem needs to be taken care of ASAP. Poor little thing! Keep in touch and let us know what you find out. Carol Jean |

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | The vet said it could be allergies or from the grooming she had or she could have gotten a little sore and started scratching and it escalated. She told me to use Panalog cream and children's benydryl. So I gave her the Benedryl and 5 minutes later she throws up, so I'm thinking she din't get any benefit from it, I only gave her 1/2 of what the vet said to see how she did with it. I will try later and see if she keeps it down.
