| I should have said that it was the Continental Kennel Club. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | If you dog is AKC and the granparent was CKC then it means...to me...that the grandparent was double registered. AKC will not register a dog/pup unless it comes from AKC parents. CKC will register a dog that is AKC.

| Oh no thats not what I meant. Our dogs aren't related in any way. I was just asking if anyone knew anything about them. I just don't know much because I have only delt with AKC. |

| It's just another registry. If you're not showing or breeding it makes little difference. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Hope I'm remembering this correctly or do a search it's been discussed before....an AKC registeration means every dog in your dog's history is recognized as a true standard of the breed. My understanding is that CKC will register ANY dog as a breed by someone simply presenting a picture that of a dog who APPEARS to be a certain breed...meaning there could be lineage somewhere that was not necessarily a yorkie. If I'm wrong...I'm sure someone will correct me
