| If you HAD to get rid of your Yorkie(s), who would you give them to? Hi All, I don't mean this to be a depressing thread, just curious. The reason I'm curious is this: SO many people (friends and family) say to me...if you ever have to get rid of Baby, I would take her. They love her that much. My mother said she would never get a dog, but if I had to get rid of Baby she would take her in a heartbeat. Funny, hugh? I thought so! Do people say that they would take your Yorkie(s) if you couldn't keep them? Oh, so many people also tell me if I ever need a dog sitter they'd do it. Even my students say that! Some people struggle for dog sitters and I have them lined up!! Anyway, back to the question ...if you HAD (a must) to give your Yorkie(s) away who would you give him/her/them to that would ACTUALLY take them? I would give Baby to my mother and father, that way I could see her all the time. I know they are in love with her as much as I am which is great!

| My mom would be so offended if Lilah DIDN'T give her Lilah. I live with her right now, and I over heard my mother telling Lilah that when I move out, she should stay here! Nice try, mom!

| I don't know of a single person, family or otherwise, that I think would take care of my babies as good as I want them taken care of. Even my immediate family (husband, kids) think I dote on them too much. My daughter's friend, Lauren, is the only one that seems as obsessed as me, so if I absolutely had to decide, it would be her....but she'd have to quit her second job...SEE! Nobody can give my babies what I think they should have and need...LOL

| I don't think the person's grandmother has been born that is good enough to take Tucker!!!! OK, if I HAVE to pick someone, I'd say Sherry Lynn, because her babies live a pretty good life. And Tucker and Dublin look like brothers!

| I would give Zeus to my mom. She adores him and I know she would love him just as much as we do. I can't imagine my little one not getting tons of hugs and kisses daily!

| What the heck kind of question is that!!!! LOL MY VERY SPOILED LITTLE PRINCESS!!! I have NO idea, Yea I have lots of people lined up to baby sit Princess, but no way would I let someone have her. The love and care she gets, no one could replace it, well unless it was someone from here I don't have parents who could take her, they have passed away, So if I had too, I'd have to hope I could find a YT faimly who would be willing to love and care for my baby.

| Not that I can ever imagine making this kind of decision but I will pretend.. : ) Jasmine (my 7 year old female yorkie) would go to my oldest sister. She begs for her all the time and even brings up... "if something should ever happen, please let me have her".. Jake (my 4 month old male yorkie) would go to my other sister. She kept Jake when we first got him because he was my son's gift from Santa. She cried when she had to bring him back after only keeping him for a week. Needless to say, I have people begging for my furbabies but if I have my choice, I want them with me FOREVER!!! |

| Well, I still live at home with my parents. And they say I can't take Chloe with me whenever I can finally afford a place of my own. Because I could not come up with the $950 to pay for her. So, at this rate, I will never move out, because I can never part with my little Chloe! LOL I know she will always be in good hands with my parents though. And they would never give her up. They love her a lot and we all pitch in to help take care of her.

| That is such a hard question to answer! I love Cookie and Lola already, sooooo much! I will be honest and NOT give my furkids to anyone in my family. I know none of them would spoil them like I do. If it ever, ever came to that it would be like 4 people from yorkie forums like Villette (owner of Chanel & Cheri) or Anna (owner of Sophie & Beau) Even then I would be calling like every week to see how they were and sending them stuff. It would break my heart so bad, I don't even want to think about it. Genie,Cookie & Lola |

| Well we have a small family. I am an only child and both of my parents have passed on. So it is just my Husbands family and none of them aredog lovers so they are out. I would have to find them a home with someone willing to adopt them.

| Boy that's a tough one. I have 6 kids. One has three children and one on the way. So guess not that one. One lives in Wales and has two small children. Nope not that one. One has 2 small children and two large dogs. Maybe her, she really likes dogs. One is single and works long hours, she wants a yorkie, but---------- probably not the best choice. One has always had cats, she's not really a dog person. Not that one. One has one very well behaved dog, and loves animals. Maybe that one. Our best friends have a large s**tzu, but they doteonher. so maybe them. Am I going to still be alive? Will I want to be able to visit the dog? Or am I going to be dead? That would make a difference. |
