Oscar - My Little Biker Dude!
 

We went on a ride with the local chapter of the Southern Cruisers today - we rode about 150 miles. It was chilly - my son coined the phrase "a tittly bit nipply"...LOL Oscar had a blast! He ended up under my coat when we rode up into Tennessee and it was a bit colder. He cuddled and slept under my fleece and leather all the way home. An older guy there came up to me and said "You know, I don't like dogs, but I really like this dog!" That made me so proud!!! But Oscar is the kind of dog that NEVER meets a stranger and goes out of his way to make them love him!!! He loves EVERYBODY!!!

I looooove riding..my boyfriend has a bike..(but it's a sportbike) and we go riding ALL the time! I cant wait for it to warm up so we can start up again..

Thanks guys! We love to ride. We waited over 20 years to get our bike so we could get the kid grown and gone! LOL Oscar rides right between his momma and daddy...loves every minute of it.

He looks so cute in his sun glasses. My parents have a Harley and they too love to ride. My dad has had motor cycles all his life. Just recently he got his first Harley Fat Boy. He was like a little kid at Christmas. Oscar is a cutie!!

Wosie is so cute in the leather hat! Oscar hated the hat when I tried it on him! He bout froze today cause he won't wear clothes. So I am either gonna have to make him a fleece coat to wear on the bike or he will have to stay home til it warms up some. We got the "DOGGLES" on ebay because I could not find them small enough at Petsmart, but they do carry them. Oscar wears the x-small and he is 7 pounds. We got a seatbelt harness at Petsmart, the one that is nylon and fleece that you use in the car and rigged it up where it will hook to my belt buckle so he won't fall off! He can hear a bike crank up and he goes nuts! Good luck taking Wosie...I bet ya'll have a great time!

Oscar is just not scared of anything! I was surprised that he likes to wear the Doggles because he does not like to wear anything else! He is into nakedness..LOL I have tried the little hats on him and he just hates them. We tried on a denim Harley Vest the other day at Petsmart and he actually seemed to tolerate it and now I wish I had gotten it for him. :mad: Maybe next time we go I will get it for him.

Funny you should say that about your Dad...what is it about middle aged men and Harleys? LOL Here is a pic of my hubby when he got his...is he infatuated or what? :D That was one happy day for my man so I can imagine how your Dad felt when he got his Fat Boy!

Cute pictures, That's why my boy is named "Harley" he loves his daddy's bike, we have bikers all the time over our house, Haley not use to bikes yet, but my little boy loves them.

We were gonna name him Harley but a dear friend of ours has a Bichon named Harley...and he looked like an Oscar so I went with that! He is an Oscar thru and thru...it fits him well!

You are welcome! It was the only place I could find some small enough for Oscar! They even came with a little protective cloth bag like Oakley's! I would love to find a leather vest for Oscar...that would just make his biker look complete!!!

My soon to be husband's last name is Dzonko, so we got the HD in both of our kids names, our girl is Haley Dzonko, and the by Harley Dzonko, i just wish she liked bikes better, Harley took to them fast, she just runs and hides, hopefully one day she's get use to them... Do you have a pouch or something that you carry him in? I think that is so cool that you take him with you, We can't take Harley and leave Haley at home she goes nuts without Harley,

We got our Harley when Oscar was about 6 months old. We started off with a pouch and that lasted all of 5 minutes. He hated the pouch so we were off to find a better way of safely taking him on the bike. He wears a seatbelt harness like the one you would strap them in the car to the car seatbelt. It is made of nylon webbing and the chest is padded with sherpa fleece to make it comfortable. We had to modify it a little because it was too big. It has a strap on the back with a latch that I hook to my belt buckle. When it is warm, he rides as far as he can stretch out on my leg with the wind in his face! But yesterday, I had on leather chaps and he could not get any traction...plus it was cold so he cuddled under my leather jacket. He loved riding from the first second he was on. He looks at everything and gets all kinds of looks from passersby! :D They can't beleive that a little dog like him loves to ride a big ole Harley! But he does and hates when we leave him at home. When we have him and stop to eat we usually stop at a place that has outside tables so he can sit with us. I hope Haley gets to where she likes the Harley. A friend of ours has a Chihuahua that just panics when he hears their bike crank up.

I do hope haley gets use to bikes, i just took my test last year for my bike liscense and hoping to get one this summer. I love to ride.. i like it when we all get together and go up the moutains for the day....

do you think 2 dogs can go @ the same time? Gizmo loves his daddy's bike, he loves Wind in his face, so does Maddy but I don't know if it will be possible to take 2! I suggested a side car 2 hubby & he said NO, bummer!!

I can really understand, I love Princess totally. I love to just watch her play and run. I really have bonded with her, I have a loving family of humans and of 4 paws and the love is awsome. I would tell anyone that getting a Yorkie was the best thing I could ever do. She has given me hope when hope was lost and faith when it was low. I cannot describe my emotion when it comes to animals in general. They were put her to be loved unconditonally just like people. Yorkies rule with one love......

Oh, I don't know! I guess if you had two seat belt harnesses one could ride on each leg...or you could do one like I do Oscar and let the other one ride in a pouch...depends if they like the pouch or not. Oscar hated the pouch...he wanted to be out where he could see everything. Keep in mind, I don't hold onto the bike anywhere as my hands are always free to be with Oscar...Just keeping him in line can sometimes be a job because he gets so excited back there...running back and forth sometimes from leg to leg. I trust the harness completely but still keep a hand on him. But look at Oscar's "smile"...he loves to ride!!! This pic was taken on his very first trip!!! He was so excited!

I had never ridden before and bought a Sportster on Ebay. I took the test and passed with flying colors. I took the riding course and passed with flying colors...but they trained us on 125cc bikes and they did not hold a candle to the 883cc Harley. We live on a gravel road up on a hill. I started down the drive and lost it in the gravel...minor damage to the bike...major damage to my confidence...severe damage to my husband's state of mind... :D I sold the Sportster and am happy riding as a passenger! She was a beauty tho...don't you think?

If you have any of those "Make a Bear" (or something like that) places in any of your local malls, you can find a leather Harley vest there! I almost got one for Wosie, but decided to wait until she stops growning!! :p

Poo! We don't have one of those...we used to have a Michael's that had bear clothes but they closed. Do you think they would fit a 7 pound Yorkie? That would be cute on him!
