thank you. he is sitting on my lap and im sure he can read all these compliments cos he seems real happy! lol |
id say he was a full yorkie he has just got large ears and as for his colour he is lighter than he should be but one of the yorkies i had was also light grey and he had 5 cruff champs in his pedigree.maybe somewhere in its pedigree one of the yorkies had over large ears, even if a yorkie is a full pedigree it doesnt always mean that they are all show quality. hes lovely the way he is :) |
Thanks for that. I dont want him to be show quality!! I love him the way he is. |
3 Attachment(s) My Little Lydia is 3/4 Yorkie, 1/4 Maltese. Her coat has similar coloring to your puppies face~ Her brother was darker, looked more Yorkie. Kara |
He's a yorkie!! Just because he doesn't have the right size ears doesn't mean he isn't 100% yorkie. Most dogs have a flaw! So yours has been ears, big deal! I think he is cute! My girls are tall, and that is a fault too! but they are still 100% yorkie. :p |
my sweet pea has different coloring and has big ears but she is all yorkie.. http://i1.tinypic.com/sfyp37.jpg but my other yorkie sebi has little tiny ears http://i1.tinypic.com/sfyq9d.jpg your pup is cute...enjoy i think its all YORKIE... |
Looks like a yorkie to me! |

Ollie - OMG...Ollie is so CUTE!!! I want a house full of Yorkies Ü |
HERE'S MY "YORKIE" 1 Attachment(s) I bought tucker at 8 weeks as a yorkie/silky x ,at that age they all kinda look the same.As he got older his coat turned to a thicker wolly coat and his color stayed the same so who knows what he is,he might be what I was told he was,he might not.Tucker is a total sweetheart and I love him but I had an unsure feeling about the breeder so who knows.I do think it's totally irresponsible for breeders to knowingly deceive buyers who think they're getting a certain breed .I ended up getting a female who is definitely yorkie and they're best buds so in the end it doesn't really matter to me.Here's a pic what do you guys think? |
1 Attachment(s) I had asked myself the same question, but now I do believe my Tinkerbell is a full Yorkie, the reason I had doubted is because I got her here in South Korea and well I got her from my vet, most breeds of dogs here are full but they dont really give you papers saying that they are 100%. To me she does seem like a Yorkie and she acts like a Yorkie, she only weighs under 2lbs at 16 weeks, she does have big ears to me but they do stand up. Her ears actually just went up about 2 weeks ago, before they would go up and down or one up and one down :D . |
For Tucker - check out this website that compares Silkies, Yorkies and Austrailan Terriers - very interesting, I didn't know Silkies looked so much like Yorkies. Also they state that a Yorkie must be only 6 pounds?????? http://www.telusplanet.net/public/si...ifferences.htm |

It also says a yorkie has a domed head, where the standard calls for a flatter head. Whoever made that website should have checked their facts a little closer. |
Looks like a yorkie to me. Her hair is short and her ears are not trimed close to the ear. My Gus has big ears but after learning how to clip his ears, they don't look so big anymore. Yorkies come in all different colors so I wouldn't worry unless you were interested in showing or breeding. |
