I'm glad I don't have to choose. :D I probably would choose the yorkie because he/she wants a playmate. But then again,... young working girl might need the pup too, being alone sucks. Might be comforting and I bet the pup would be spoiled. I agree with the others who said home visits. Check 'em out. Meet 'n greet, see how they interact with the pup. You're head and heart will tell you what to do after that. |

I would definately choose the family that already has a yorkie. I am in my younger 20's myself, and from experience I know that we do not have much time to put in the time and effort it takes to care for a yorkie. I got a yorkie puppy a couple of years ago, and did not have time for it so I had to send it to my parents. Don't worry...she is loved and cared for like no other. Just recently I married, and my husband and I got a yorkie. There is no possible way, between my job and our social life, that I could care for the yorkie on my own. I definately rely on my husband's help. Especially since she has not had a yorkie before, she has no idea what it takes...just like I didn't a couple of years ago. At least the family has a yorkie and knows what they are getting themselves into. |
Some of my puppies are with young women and men and I never have problems with that . I don't have nothing against a family having one . The well being of the puppy should always be the main priority . |

It all has to do with loving and taking care of the baby... BUT... I would pick the "person" with another dog... I like to think of my pets as being "friends". None of them(I have 1 YT and 3 others) are ever alone. They always have someone to talk to or even snuggle up to if they are sad. |
