I'm so proud of my boyz! We had one heck of a day today. We sold our house, closed on it yesterday, the new owner came over today and brought her dog Buddy...a King Charles Spaniel. We surprised her with a BBQ get together with the neighbors so they could meet and we had a blast! Anyway...Jo and Riley welcomed Buddy into 'their' house, shared their toys, bed, couch and anything else he wanted with absolutely no problems. Buddy was digging through the toy box like it was his and even took a little nap resting his head on one of the stuffed bones. I was a bit worried with all the people in the house and my boyz not being used to so much going on but they were great! They needed the socialization and getting to play with another dog did them some good. Joey was so cute...he jumped and wiggled at Buddy trying to get him to play while Riley tried stuffing a toy in Buddy's mouth. It's good to know they don't have a problem playing with other dogs. Now, I know it doesn't sound like much to some but I'm pretty proud of my boyz after seeing how well they shared and played today!

Thank you JeanieK...my boyz don't get to play with other dogs very often so I was a bit nervous about the initial meeting but they were perfect little doggie hosts to Buddy! We enjoyed the BBQ...we have the best neighbors and I wish I could take them all with us but they belong to the new owner now! We'll be back though...we're going to winter here so at least we'll get to see them for part of the year.

BBQ for the new owner, what a great idea. Now-a-days it seem that most people don't even know who their neighbors are, even after living next door for 10 years. Congrats on the cabin.

No wonder the boyz are so hospitable, they learned it from Mom! How nice to have this as one of your last memories at that house and for the new owner to have it as one of their first! Best wishes on your move - sounds like a dream house.

Thank you Tiggerwit and CTYorkie. The BBQ was a big surprise to the new owner and I think she's going to fit right in with the neighbors. We're a pretty social crowd...always going out to eat, to concerts, each other's house for dinner, day trips and who knows what else. We never pass up an opportunity to spend time with good people so the BBQ seemed like the right way to introduce her to everyone. We're fortunate here...everyone knows everyone else and we keep an eye on things...it's been great. We're looking forward to our cabin but we'll always come back here to visit. I just hope there are some nice dogs in the new neighborhood for the boys to play with...maybe even a few Yorkies...that would be nice!
