Molly knows: "Leave it", "Sit", "Stay", "Spin" and just recently "Come Around" (walks around the back of me to other side where she sits, her 'bow') I'm downloading it to Dropshots so hopefully I'll post it within the next few minutes along with some more recent pics. |
The cutest thing Shelby learned is the word "hide" I tell her to hide and she ducks down in her purse so I can zip it up. |
Debbie knows a lot of words and will sit on command but my son's favorite trick is the one he taught her. She will bite me if he tells her too and it's not that play biting. He thinks it's so funny but when he moves out someday he will be leaving me with this ornery little dog. |
Joey knows: sit stay wait down settle come walk nice (loose leash) heel (well, pretty darn good) go see go potty go get (mommy, daddy, son1 or son2) finish stand bang, you're dead high five get your toy get your ball get your bone hand me your toy go to jail (laundry room) got to bed on your blankie where are you supposed to be? (on his blankie in a down-stay during mealtimes) fetch look (eye contact) leave it drop it find it go around left (look left) left spin walk the plank over jump up kisses fix it (rights my son's remote control vehicle) attack (bites my son's hands gently) quiet (Usually works. If that doesn't work, 'shut the "f" up' usually does!) and last... you're conceited (nose in the air) |
LOL, edit: I was feeling pretty proud of Eddie's list until I saw that FirstYorkie was posting at the same time and had TWICE as many skills. Joey is such a showoff! j.k., Joey is Eddie's hero! I had never been able to train a dog to do anything beyond sit, stay, heel, but Eddie has turned into a learning machine. Of course, he's been through 34 straight weeks of obedience classes. 1. Sit 2. Down 3. Sit stay 4. Down stay 5. Heel 6. Run 7. Come 8. Around (He walks around me and sits) 9. Come back (same thing on other side) 10. Spin (Jack taught him that) 11. Shake 12. Dance (he's still learning) 13. Where's Eddie? (He comes to me when my back is to him and sits between my legs) 14. Watch (he keeps his eyes on me) 15. Walking down 16. Jump 17. Backward heel in a circle 18. Sideways heel |
Cali can make my money disappear!!!! |
which dog? lol Bouncer knows LOTS of tricks, Lotte is only in her 3rd class of puppy pre-school haha |
Bobo sits, sits from a lay, goes see someone, and then comes back on command. speaks. Cocoa will speak. but other than that is pretty bad boy. Picks on all the others. |

My experience is exactly the same as yours. Before Joey, I had only ever taught a dog to sit, down, speak, and ring the bell to go outside. I never even got as far as stay and heel. But Joey is so dang smart! If my interest weren't lagging, his list of tricks could easily be double what it is now. As I've told our trainer, the only limit to what Joey can learn (IMHO), is my inexperience as a handler! |
lol looks like we got some clever dogs out there :D |

Oh, that's too cute! Ginger knows sit, stay, down, wait, paw (shake), bow, roll-over, heel, come, touch. She also knows some basic agility (if only her HANDLER were more coordinated) |
