Pleassse People I Need Your help!!! I feel let down :( I keep posting but no one seems to help me. I am really afraid that my yorkie is going to be hurt falling off my catwalk. Everyone says gates don't work and someone told me their aunt's dog got killed in such a situation. Where can I get plexiglass panels to block the spaces between the railings? Someone else must have this fear? |
I would contact a home improvement store or a fence company. I am sorry but I am not sure I know what a "catwalk is". Is it a small balcony? They also sell a mesh fencing material for toddlers to protect them from falling through slats in a railing. You could check baby stores or look under child proof fencing on the internet maybe? Sorry I'm not much help, but I hope those ideas will lead to something. Good luck |
like socal said i dont know what your thing looks like but you can look at this and see if this would work http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...#more-pictures |
try looking at hardwear stores like lowes or try next step baby you can find it by searching the web. also i would try babies are us they might have something that could help. just a thought hope that helps. good luck. :p |
GO to your local glass company...they can cut you plexi-glass pieces to measurements you give them....plexi is a plastic like material that is clear so you can still see thru it...give htem the measurements and also give them measurements to drill holes into so you can secure the pieces to the rainings in differnet spots....this should definetly work....good luck! |
Hannah, I got a baby gate at Babies R Us that is expandable and the slats are so close that Bo can't fit between them. It swings open either way and can be pressure mounted so that no hardware has to be installed. It cost about $60 and has been well worth it. Hope this helps! |

try the one I posted or the plexiglass |
:aimeeyork i love your decor style...have you considered buying mesh or some other material at the fabric store? you could pull it taught or weave it in and out maybe? I dunno, just looks like a lot of area to cover with gates....not sure how you could secure the bottom, aside from pulling it taught... i think the plexiglass is a good idea... |
wal-mart sells the mesh gate but it is wire i had the plastic looking mesh but my scrappydoo chewed a hole big enough to slip threw it i was gonna get another but my husband found a wire one . so far so good keeps him gated in the kitchen :aimeeyork |

After looking at the picture I think plexiglass would be perfect at keeping fur baby safe and still keeping your home "classy looking"... I would think any home store or glass store will carry what you are looking for. Good luck. :) |
I got just the thing for you!!!!!! Go to 'one step ahead " then go to home safety there is an item called the clear banister guard kit. It is very reasonably priced. Have mant friends who have this for thier children. I will be ordering this before I bring home my new lil furbaby. Hope that helps :D . Let me know if that helps. sue |
