How many hours does your Yorkie sleep? I think Yoda sleeps around 14-15 hours a day or so. At night, he usually goes to sleep around 11pm and usually he gets up at noon or so. Most days, he will need to pee in the middle of the night. He also takes short naps throughout the day. We actually setup a camcorder one time when we were away, and all he did was sleep while we were gone. |
Mine too My 2 sleep every minute that i am asleep (they are in bed with me) and about every minute that i am away at work too...they generally wake up to pee in the night but are back fast asleep in a minute or two...now if some one in the house is cooking bacon, they will stay up 24/7 until they get a piece...needs to be a scientific study on yorkies and bacon... :D |
Otis sleeps a lot. He sleeps more than he's awake. |
i know this is old but im gonna reply cause i wasnt here my guys go to sleep at 8 pm and get up at 6 or 7 in the morning |
wow that is so long! My yorkie sleeps about 6-8 hours at a time..maybe less. She's still a puppy though... |
Toby sleeps a lot during the day...... he is usually awake from 4-10 pm, but yeah..... more than 14 hours i would think |
Sleep Hours Artie sleeps from 11 pm. to 6:30 am. but takes alot of naps, especially when I'm on Yorkie Talk! But when he wakes up for what ever reason? Usually to go to the potty or pooh.....he jumps on our bed and licks our faces to wake us up, so who ever did the last walk can sleep in. We usually take turns. I think he doesn't sleep enough? He is skinny as a rail. |
fast eddie - i want to try the camcorder thing. i think it would be hilarious. i know that stewie get some form of separation anxiety when i am gone for longer than five hours. he tears up his pee pad even if he peed on it and finds a bunch of other fun stuff to destroy in my bedroom where he is confined. |
That video camera idea is great! My babies sleep all the time - they are sleeping now. They go to sleep around 11 and wake up at 7 for breakfast! :) |
Hmmmm, I have never really thought much about this one. Well, Schatzie goes to bed about 7:00 pm and wakes up at 6:00 am. ( Early to bed, early to rise, makes a Yorkie happy, hyper, and wise! ) She doesn't nap too much during the day as she is too busy following me around. Now, if I am napping (which I love) then she is sleeping right next to me. |
Oh yeah, Bo knows when I get out our favorite blue velux blanket that it's time for a happy nappy!! |
I actually feel one coming on now, how 'bout you, Bo?? |

My girl sleeps all night and off and on during the day. She is NOT a morning dog, she is always the last one out of bed. Sometimes we get her up and take her out only to find her back in bed for awhile. She loves to sleep in! |
my furbaby goes to bed around 10 to 11. and allows me to sleep in intil 11am (the very latest). when i first got him, he would wake me every day at 7 am but now he allows me to sleep in. thank you noir :aimeeyork :). he sleeps on and off during the day too. |
sleeping This was good to know my gril sleeps alot but I to am up arouond 2am and then I nap aroound 12:00 in the afternoon.:) |
Sushi doesn't like to sleep much, when I'm home he's wandering around the house looking for mischief or a place to hide all his toys/chewies...doesn't even take a minute to sit down. He probably sleeps when I'm at work but at night he sleeps around 10 hours.. |
Stinks sleeps from 10pm-7am, 8am-1pm, 3pm-6pm so that's 17 hours :) |
Ellie sleeps on and off when I sit down for the night (between 8 and 10). Then I usually feed her a little while later (she has no problem waking up for that :)). Then we go to bed and sleep til sometime between 6 and 10. She naps throughout the day, but it is mostly out of boredom, I think. When I am willing ot play, walk, or take her somewhere, she is wide awake. She also likes to spend her days looking out windows and sunning herself. :) |
I've been home sick with the flu the past couple of days and didn't realize that Yogi sleeps as much as he does. I've basically been in the bed since Monday night and with the exception for a couple of hours last night and 30 minutes in the morning, he has been laying on the bed sleeping on and off. |
Remy goes to bed with me anytime between 9-10pm and sleeps through til 6:30am. Then depending on what I'm doing he will go back to sleep or, will play all morning until we go to the office. At the office he usually sleeps for a few hours in the morning and then is awake all afternoon through evening until bed time. |

I tell everyone that Taylor's a Napping Champion. :D |
Sakura sleeps a lot too. It's an off and on all day thing. We get up about 7:45 and by 9:30 we are at work and she is back to sleep. I was worried that she was sleeping too much and that something was wrong but this has eased my thoughts! At work she only is awake if she has to potty about or someone walked in and so the can pay attention to her. :D |
Lucy is a champion sleeper as well. She goes to bed whenever I do. She's been waking me up around 8:00 to go potty; but is more than willing to go back to bed (I'm on vacation). She sleeps a lot during the day as well. She plays hard and sleeps hard! |

HAHA!! My Izzy is the same way... She is Always the last one out of bed... She take "naps" during the day all the time... But she wake and starts barking at a leaf blowing outside. She goes to bed around 12am with me and sleeps till about 10am :) |
Poppy usually sleeps from about 11pm till 7am then she will sleep from around 10am to 11am/12pm. She will have short naps through out the day too so I would say that she sleeps for around.... 12 hours. |
