What I use as well for mine. |
Pixie is on Chicken Soup for Puppies. The first Bag has lasted me two months and it was the small bag! So for an expensive premium brand, she is a cheep date! I just tried the merricks with her, thinking that she might like to have two choices out.... wrong! She turned her nose up at the merricks and is still a huge Chicken Soup fan. And I will say.... Her Chicken Poops have been WONDERFUL very compact and not the kind that fill the room as soon as they are dropped! lol Plus she is only going once or twice a day. I love it! She was on Ukanuba (spelling) when she came home from the breeder. I did not like the mushy poops, and they smelled bad! That just screams fillers to me. So I switched her. |
So what brands do not have corn. I keep reading how the corn just is not good for them. Every thing I pick up has corn as the first ingredient. |
Where do you get the chicken soup puppy food.. Do you have to get it online? |
I know that California Natural Lamb Meal and Rice dry doesn't have corn. It only has about 4 ingredients and vitamins and minerals. I don't think Innova has corn either. |

I get my Chicken Soup at Pet Supplies Plus. You can check on the Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's soul website. They have a location finder on there to help you find a store near you. I think you can also order it online. Google it, sorry I don't have the exact website. |
Mine wouldn't eat the food that they were feeding her before we got her (Eucanuba or whatever). It just sat there, and she would steal the cat's food. So I bought the same brand for her (which was much more healthy anyway, if you compare the ingredients). It's a brand I'm promoting now, so if you want to check it out, it's at http://www.healthypetnet.com/kendalb There isn't any corn or wheat or by-products, and I haven't done the math yet for dog food, but the cat food ended up being cheaper than the cat food I was buying before. My dog actually eats it... and sometimes I see the cats sneaking it as well. My dog still sneaks some cat food sometimes too, so they're even. ;-) |
