KISSES - Lips Only! Hi everyone, This may have already been a topic of discussion, but I was curious. I even thought about doing a poll. Kiki loves to give kisses and he does a good job with aiming straight for the mouth. He seems like he purposely goes for your mouth when he gives kisses. Just wanted to know if anyone else have Yorkies that like to aim for the mouth. No matter how much I turn and give him my cheek he is determined to get to my mouth! It is so funny! :D |
I never thought about it, but now that you mention it, he does go for my lips!! what a weirdo. And very often he kisses the tip of my nose with a single lick. thats my favorite. these guys r just too cute for words. |

Jewels always goes for the mouth and the nose. I try to get her to give kisses on the cheek but she always goes for the mouth and nose. ;) |
Daisy will lick you till your skin falls off! Chloe is really passionate about her kisses she likes to put her paws on your face then lick you lips! Its so cute! |
It's like they know that lips are made for kissing. Kiki sleeps with me and I woke up to nothing but tongue on my lips. I could not believe it! My husband thought it was so funny. |
Bailey is not much of a kisser, only if you have just eaten... :( |

All 3 of mine kiss smack on the lips....I taught Tessa My Cocker to High 5 me and she will kiss in mid air...and both Chanel and Cheri are not only lip kissers....they're FRENCH Kissers.....always tryin to slip me some tongue |
Maddie's a lip kisser...like Villette's girls...she likes to french kiss. I call her the little make out artist! She is always trying to kiss...or be kissed! Crazy little girl! |

Max loves to give kisses. He likes to kiss my mouth and the tip of my nose. He's a little lover :animal36 but Abbie gives kisses on her own terms. She doesn't give out free kisses--you have to earn them :) |
I've always had lip kissers, don't mind it unless they have bad breath. |
Matthias goes for the mouth every single time and I have no problem with it at all. I'll just turn my lips inwards (so he doesn't mess up my lipstick or lick off my chapstick when I'm wearing it) and give him kisses right back. :) Turn away? never! |

Yep! Toto loves lip kisses! She will kiss you on request .... "Puppy kiss?" and she will smack you right on the lips!! :) It's soooo sweet! What's really cute is, when she is pouting, she won't kiss you for nothing!! :p My friend has two that will give you a great big grin and then kiss you!! ;) |
both of my dogs, Bentley and ChaCha, are lip kissers. Bentley will wake me up every morning with "good morning kisses". |
My Illy also does this. She does it to everyone. I think maybe because sound comes from the mouth, maybe they think that's where you are. I'm not sure, but that is my best guess. |

Chloe is a lip kisser too and a nose and the nostrils! I say to her, ok enough is enough and she gets determined to do more. :p When she's in the mood, nothing stopping her. Inside the nostrils is too much for me, like someone who has a ticklish spot somewhere and although it doesn't hurt, you just can't stand it. I do believe though that CHloe thinks it's a game now when I want her to stop. And I think another Yorkie doing is, when their settled so contently on your lap, your both watching a movie, clear out of the blue, she pops up like out of a toaster and heads that tongue right into the nostrils. Then smiles.........Maybe she's aiming for the mouth and misses who knows. But she goes with such speed, she really startles me mostly. :eek: |
Mine go straight for your nose. They even end up getting their little tounges right up there (their so quick) and its sooooo gross. It's like they have perfect aim at your nostrils :rolleyes: |

Wouldn't want remnants of that stuff up my nose :p It seems to me the more I ask her "no nose" the more she sneaks in a lick up there and soooo quickly, just like you said. I was trying to explain it ealier, how she is sitting so quiet, then "pop" up she is and so so happy with herself once the nostrils holes have been licked! yuk |

I have trained Noah not to lick me in the face. I'm sorry, but I do not like to idea of his little mouth near mine since he is occasionally known as the "tird burgler" around the house. It's amazing, I can train him not to lick me in the face (which is obviously 2nd nature for these adorable little guys) but the whole not pottying in the house is sometimes a mystery to him. ;) |
