| Both Chachi and Jewels are golden with silver black also. They have black hair growing in with the silver.

| Blue and tan are the correct colors. I think the variety of colors is interesting. Some of the tans are blonde and others red. Some of the bodies are very silver and some very black. Non of those variations would qualify for show, but it does make the yorkie breed very unique. |

| HI!! I don't know much about the colors.. I have learned a lot from the thread on here called "coats and Colors" that was posted by the Adminn., it's at the top of the threads, maybe that will help some. I really replied because I am from Michigan too. Your zip code is close to mine... I live in Howell. It is nice to see a fellow Michigander on here! |

| My pup changed colors very fast. At four months, he was silver and light tan - and has stayed this way since then. He is very pretty and really a very handsome little guy! I have no clue as to whether or not his colors will change again - but whatever! This is just another thing that is exciting and interesting about Yorkies! Carol Jean |

| My baby has a silver head (she kind of looks like my Grandma). I'm glad you asked, I was curious about it as well. Gracie is def. not a show dog, but she is sooooo beautiful, at least to me. Do Yorkies continue to change colors, or stop at a certain age?

| On the registration papers I would mark blue and gold. To me silver is just a very muted blue. JMO. By the way, I think your girl is very pretty! I have a fondness for the very light colorings with gold. If you do breed her one day, I would look for a stud with the dark true blue coloring from a possible show breeder. Their stud should have great qualities so hopefully some pups will get the true blue coloring as adults and help pass on other wonderful qualities to your girls babies. |
