Peeing when excited? I've been meaning to ask you guys if anyone else's Yorkie pees when they get excited? I don't mean a full puddle, LoL! I just mean a few little drops. Mitzi has this little habbit/problem. For example when my other half gets home, she gets so excited to see her, she's jumping around and wagging her little stumpy. Then she just pees a little bit. Is this OK? :) |
Yes, Daisy does this also.. I think it's just that they have small little bladders and can't help it when they get excited. Totally normal. |
I think they will grow out of it thou. Bunny did that when she was younger. Every time she saw new people that came over to are house, She would get so excited and the pee a little...But She dose not do that so much any more, She is getting better at it. Now its only when my Grandma comes over and that is slowly stoping to. |
Cool :) Thanks you guys :) I was beginning to think maybe it was an infection or we were scaring her to death! Glad she'll grow out of it :D :D |

LOL, saw that!! Mitzi has a string fetish, I saw, LOL! Wosie will dribble if she has been in her crate for a while when we are away. Her excitement of getting let out of the crate is just too much for her, and she dots the floor with pee pee until I let her outside. Needless to say, I have gotten pretty quick moving from the crate to the door! LOLOL She does it less now that she is 8 months than she did at 6 months. I just guess her bladder is expanding nicely now. YIPPEE! :p Helen, what TIME is it where you are right now? |
Jasmine never does but Murphy always dribbles when I let him out of his crate or when someone comes over. He get so exited. I'm glad to know it will stop. |

Pippa used to do this all the time! But now she only does it on the odd occaision usually when it my brother, he must have a strange effect on woman LOL |
Our boy Chowie gets excited and drips all the time. Now however,he is doing a full blown pee session. We are trying to wait to let him out, until we see him pee first but it seems like he will just hold it and as soon as he gets out, he goes pee. Any suggestions??? |
Excitement peeing isn't unusual. You might try to make your roommate's comings and goings less exciting. Encourage her to IGNORE Mitzi the first couple of minutes after she gets home. It she's consistent with that, it might help... |
We'll definately try the not making a fuss bit. It's not only when she gets home, it's when its a new thing, or visitors, just generally when it's not the routine stuff. I'm glad it's pretty normal anyway. At least I know she's healthy, and that ONE DAY she'll stop :D |
Well, my hubby can feel her pain!!!! Everytime he would come home, Brasco would get sooo excited, that when my hubby would either pick him up to kiss him or if he would get down on the floor to play with him, Brasco would end up peeing on him! Only him! Never me for some reason!!!!! So finally, we figured out that if he just ignoress him for about 10 mins or so...that that really seemed to help with the piddles!!!!! And if I know about when he is coming home, I try to take him outside to peepee before he gets home!! So then at least Brasco has an empty bladder!!!! LOL Good Luck! |
