I have never been through this, need your help Some of you may know Coco hasn't been feeling well. She was throwing up yellow fluid for a couple of days. So far today she has eaten very small amounts of cottage cheese and broiled chicken twice, wiht 4 hours in between to ensure digestion, and so far no throwing up (crossing fingers). Does anyone know what this vomiting could have been caused from? Her nose and mouth are wet like normal, she's playful and her two poops yesterday were not diarhetic. I don't have any toxins at home and she has all of her vaccinations. Any ideas? |
Coco might have had an upset tummy. Princess did the same thing a few months ago. I took her in, and they ran tests, but nothing came back wrong. The Vet said she just upset her tummy, and would be fine in a day or two. He was right, because three days later, she was back to being herself. Hope Coco feels better soon. :getwellso |
Poor Coco! I bet she just has an upset tummy, Hallie gets like that too when her belly hurts and she will throw up but otherwise act normal. I hope Coco is back to feeling better soon! |
When Zeus was diagnosed with Pancreatitis, he was throwing up yellowish liquid. I would take her into the vet to be on the safe side. Pancreatitis is common in these little ones and can be very serious if not treated. I am sure it is nothing, but you can never be too safe. My vet told us to give Zeus 1/2 a Pepcid AC twice a day. Try this in the mean time. Hope she gets better soon! |
Vomiting I have had trouble with Jacks tummy from day one. He goes between vomiting and diarrhea. Not both at the same time. They took xrays and blood work and found nothing wrong. However I had to take all the bones away the ones that come apart for example the greenies and some of the other ones I would buy him occasionally such as bully sticks. I think that jack has a very sensitive stomach. i am used to having big dogs that don't so this is my first experience with small dogs. You might want to have it checked out. Good luck. Hope your baby is better soon Jack and Mandys Mom :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
I had a similar experience like this... Cloey and Oreo were both throwing up yellowish stuff.. and later on i found they had coccidia.. i have no idea where in the world they got that.. i hope coco feels better.. puppy kisses for her! |

I was also told that the yellow fluid is bile from an empty stomach and there is no food in it thats why. I was wondering the same thing with Jack. I posted a response up above. I hope Coco is well soon. Jack and Mandy's Mom |
I'm no expert but from the 2 1/2 years of having my two, it is usually a few errors on my part. Also, just a suggestion, but I would hold up on the cottage cheese as well, since it is a dairy product. My vet says boiled children and cooked while rice when the tummy is upset and so far that always works. My two will wolf it down and I give that to them for two days, if all goes well. Anyway, when mine get a tummy upset it is usually because I give them too many choices. A high quality dogfood and a small treat is plenty, but they look me in the eye with that pitiful look and sure enough, too many treats or too much variety, like peeled apple and lamb/rice treats and Cheerios. You get the idea. The other time they have had tummy problems have been when they get into something they should not, like a lizard or houseplant. I learned the hard way to get rid of Sago palms, poison to yorkies! So, check around the house for anything these curious little furbabies can eat and make sure toys are not in need of tossing. I notice, too, my little one seems to be more sensitive to a tummy problem, Chloe seems less likely to get an upset so perhaps size enters into the issue as well. I'm sorry you baby has been sick. |
Jewels throws up that yellow fluid when she gets nervous. Usually because of a car ride. |
I just wanted to say I hope she feels better....Chanel, Cheri and I are sending get well wishes to little Coco... |
Rawhide, bully sticks ect..... Alot of things can cause the tummy to be upset rawhide, bully sticks ects and even greenies. Give her chicken and rice and maybe a half of pepcid (5mg). Did she eat one of your leather shoes or belts. This will give them a tummyache for two days.Check her poop everyday -take it apart-check and see if there is anything unusual in it. I hope that will give you some idea why she having problems with her tummy. |
