Bailey does that too in the morning when we get to work, all the guys are in the break room and he flys out , UP on the picnic table, and greets everyone wanting a butt rub ( squirms around and pushes his butt at people until they scratch his butt. ) but then ends up in the lap of the same guy every morning, then does the same when they go on break, BUT sits on a different guys lap then, he has a routine. |
Let's see, Gracie is pretty good at giving dirty looks and farting/burping. When Rebel wants your attention, he will paw/touch your face as if to say, "PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!" Pups just play so I haven't seen anything yet. Both dogs love green beans and potato chips (though they don't get many chips and definitely not often). And, they are my couch potatoes. |
Toto acts totally human!! Like a spoiled brat ... she is a perfect example of tooooo much spoiling! We have been trying desperately to socialize her with other animals and she will have no part of them!! :( It breaks my heart for her and I know, absolutely, that this is the one mistake we made for her .... no animal interaction and I just pray it isn't too late. She can be around 5 playing Yorkies and she just snubs them! She will look at me or Patrick like, "help me, these animals are touching me!!" We laugh at her because of her "Prissy" ways .... checks to make sure all her "stuff" is in place and fresh .... wee wee pad, water, beds, etc.! :p Does she exhibit human behavior??? Most days!!! ;) |
Loyalty... Pepper sleeps in her crate at night, when she is let out in the morning she immediately runs for my bed to see if Mommy is there. She often wakes me with a Yorkie face-wash....lol I went away for a night and in the morning, my hubby told me, she ran to our bed looking for me. She wouldn't get off the bed, she was waiting for me. I haven't had Pepper for vey long either, so it amazed me at how quickly she has bonded with me. Reading the other similar stories, my lil' Pepper does the same thing tilting her head when we talk to her. I have taught her "treat", "sit" and "be good" which is when she is racing around the house for a treat I say "be good" and she sits pretty for her treat. Truly an asset this adoption has been. |

It was too cute! |
These stories are way too cute! Zeus hogs the bed and if you bump him, he growls, gets up and goes to sleep in his dog bed. He won't come back to bed unless you go to him and apologize and ask him to come back to bed! :p My husband says he gets that from me!! |
What a fun thread! I would just LOVE to see Edie attending staff meeting. How cute! Yes, Bridget does exhibit lots of human behavior. Mornings are especially tough for my little one. She doesn’t like it when mommy gets ready cause that means she’s leaving. She’ll lay on my bed with her little chin down and the most pitiful look on her face. Just breaks my heart. She gets loads of love and treats in the mornings. If she’s asleep and she gets nudged too much, she’ll give you the one eye open dirty look… “um hello, I’m napping here”. She likes TV too. Was captivated by the ice skating that was on recently. I should have taken pics, she would just sit in front of the set mesmerized – and would bark when they did a jump or when the audience started clapping. We all got a big kick out of that one. |
Chloe is quite the one for dirty looks (my d/p is one of the only times this look was caught on camera *note the drama queen hair*). She also set a bed time that both her and my mom must obey (usualy around 9) but if my mom dont listen to her she runs out glares at my mom with this "COME ON!" look then runs in again. If my mom still dont listen ...look out  She also loves watching T.V. |
Mojo has human looks and actions - like the annoyed look - the oh my gosh, I'm soo happy look/action - come on, I'm waiting look - the oh boy, a treat look, etc. :aimeeyork He gets annoyed if you keep calling him or pick him up to do something if he doesn't want to - ummmm, must like my daughter! :) He gets aggravated when he is asleep and you accidentally touch him, he gets up and leaves....only to come back in alittle while and snuggle. I loves to watch tv - even though we are not big tv people - he will sit up or lay on his pillow and watch tv - he'll even beg to have his food there by him on the couch - course, he always as his "special" blanket with him too. Sometimes, I think he is just dying to talk - he will try and try to actually make some sort of noise. Course, he does have an outside noise, an I'm ready for bed noise, etc. He does tilt his head and twitch his ears when you speak to him. He is very spoiled and has a certain little whine - it is cute, but it is a WHINE so it is just like a child whining!!! |

Dan and Corrine - My dogs don't miss much on TV - they especially go crazy when a "doorbell" rings on TV. They think we have company. I'm glad your pup likes corn -- make sure she doesn't eat the cob. I let my Bichon pup chew on a cob once and he and I were up all night with the worst tummy ache you can imagine. I literally carried him around like a baby all night. Later, when he went to the bathroom, the pieces of cobb had gone through him - totally undigested...large pieces! No wonder he was so uncomfortable. Carol Jean |

Cookie will sleep in a spooning position with me ,just like my hubby does. He will NOT fall asleep unless his little body is touching me! He will let me know if he wants me to follow him. He looks so funny. He will wisper bark in a high pitched noise and when I look at him he will stare at me and turn his face and shows me where to look. He'll do this several times until I get it and follow him! When he wants to eat or wants me to change his water bowl. ..He will go to the bowl hit it with his front paw. Pick it up with his mouth and drop it so I can see what he is doing lol.He MUST have fresh water 2 times a day in his bowl! Gosh if I let it pass for one day it's like I'm giving him dirty old water! lol He is one of the few dogs that I know that actually truly enjoys getting dressed! Genie |
