i actually did a pet shop puppy report and found some very upsetting news about both the breeder and the "pedegree" service they used... it was very heartbreaking and puts me somewhere between really sad and really angry at the life snickers must have had before she came to be with us.... |

Our Gucci has a handsome thick coat. It is silky soft about once a week after his bath, for a day, maybe two. He is so fluffy then. We hold and pet him a lot and I try to walk him once a day for 3 miles of sidewalks and trails. So, his hair gets not so much as snarled but it feels more course a day or so after his bath. We will keep his hair sorta short since long hair is too much maintenance. I think Robyn WANTS him to have long hair but... the reality is the amount of work will probably keep her from that course. |

Yorkies are like little presents that keep Giving hehehe. I keep trying to figure out what Gizmo will look like as an adult, he's 6 months old now and has a puppy cut, due to his hair being so damaged when I rescued him. Half of it fell out and he looked like he was wearing a tutu :-) I had them trim off probably about 3" and have kept it at about 2" long. I'm now going to let it grow and see what happens now :-) I find it interesting that we really don't know what they will look like once they become adults. Gizmo is kind of a contradiction, because he has a thick soft cost, but never gets a tangle at all, not from his harness or anything, but right now his body feels more cottony, and his head, tail, ears and face feel silky. Does anyone have any ideas about one with these textures at 6 months old? He looks like a teddy bear with a wide muzzle and the cutest boxy frame on him. I always tell everyone he's a body builder because he looks buff hahaha, it could be because he's fluffy though :-) |
