My girl got spayed at 6 months and she did great. The next day she was just like her old self. My vet gave us meds too. Maybe call tomorrow if you think she is in bad pain? |

My little baby Pippa was spayed yesterday and when i picked her up she too was whimpering and i felt awful +++++ But after sleeping all night she has got up much perkier and even wants to play with her toys. I'm sure your baby will be better tomorrow too. xxx |
My baby got spayed last week. She is 6 mos old. and weighs 5lbs. The vet did keep her overnight (which I VERY reluctantly agreed to) to keep her quiet and resting. I picked her up the second they opened the next morning. She was still a bit sleepy and cuddled with me all day. The next day she was back to her normal self- they recover amazingly fast. Please don't second guess yourself. It is ABSOLUTELY the right thing to do if you are not intending on breeding her. Her cancer risk drops drastically now that she is spayed!! Good luck and please let us know how she is doing!! :aimeeyork |
Poor baby !! I hope she is feeling better today and I sure wonder why she didn't get any pain medication ? We did....and it seemed to really help. I hope today is a better day and wishing her a speedy recovery. |

Up and running again - now I have to slow her down Great news!! I was so amazed by what a difference a night could make. My baby is running around all over the place now as if nothing has ever happened. You guys are right on - it's kind of difficult to slow her down. :p Maybe she doesn’t remember what happened yesterday. It’s good to see her being her old self again. The only way I can get her to clam down is to stay away from her as she wants to play with me too much …….. She drank a lot of water but doesn't show too much interest in food. That's all right - as long as she still likes nutrical. :) Thank you so much for the much needed support. I would have lost my mind for sure last night if not for you all. You guys are the best!! :thumbs up |
Poor little baby. Give her lots of attention and cuddles as you know she must have some pain. If they gave you something to give her or told you what to give her for pain then by all means do it. She should be fine within the next day or two. |
glad to hear she's back to being her ol' silly self. :) |
How is she doing today. Usually they are better by the next day. |
