For those that knew we were waiting on puppies and I said mama had gone into labor yesterday - boy was I wrong-
This was her first and I read her wrong but finally after up all night she got serious this morning and brought me 2 boys and 2 girls. Whoopie its over.

Some times I look in the mirror and ask that silly old gal looking at me "why" but then it comes out ok and hopefully everything will be ok and then you see the smiles on the faces of the new forever families for the babies and its all worth while.

I am going to see if I know how to put pics on here of her with all four ( you gotta look close) and a pic of the first two. I am pooped or I would put more on. Later I will.

Awww...congrats on your puppies!!!! Mama dog looks so tired. I can't wait to see more pictures :)

Congratulations!! Bless your heart .... I know you must be exhausted. The babies are beautiful .... Mommy looks really tired .... I'll bet there's a lotta napping going on at your house!! :) We would love to watch them grow up in the YT Nursery! Please let us know how you are all doing ... after naps, of course! ;)

Star is accepting all the congratulations and thanks you. :D

She was tired and is getting some much deserved rest now with 4 little blackies tucked up next to her. There isn't anything that make you wonder and in awe of creation like this does. However the 6 week marker is usually when I think they just can't get cuter but of course they do :thumbup:

These were her first and probably last unless I see something special in the breeding. Only 6 months to a year will tell the story. In the mean time I will enjoy the BABIES and yes I am keeping one . The rest have screened adoptive parents waiting.

So, happy that things went well.
It is so hard to remember when my little guys were that little.
The day that she whelped, the only thing that I could think of was (look what I helped do) Wow what little miracles.
Things for you now would only get better. Just wait tell the time goes by.

Congratulations! Such a perfect litter - 2 girls, 2 boys! Makes me even more excited about Paddy's puppies coming when I see the tiny newborn pictures. Hope mom and puppies continue to do well!

Just so its clear-This was her first litter - For me after 40+ years of
showing and breeding and LOVING dogs I can't tell you with out going to records how many for me. That being said I don't think you ever get "used " to it and every time is like a first all over again.

For the one that asked about their weights --
1 boy 4.6 oz
2 girl 4.6 oz
3 girl 3.2 oz tiny but spunky and strong - she gets her share :D
4 boy 4.8 oz

they all are a little heavier this morning- and I am so glad. We are all rested and perky this AM. Thanks to all - Yes they are sooooo cute.
