tissue paper
 
I was just wondering if anyone has come across this situation. My baby girl(daisy) loves to play with tissue paper. Everytime I throw a tissue in the garbage she sticks her little head in there and grabs it. I end up chasing her around the house in order to retrieve it. Does anyone have any suggestions on something that is like tissue paper that she can actually play with. I don't want her getting sick by eating it. Thank you.... :confused:

I gave up running after Princess,

Petsmart has some new toys by "Petstages". They are neat, colorful and very different. I got Missy two of them. They have crinkle sounds in them.

I copied that website address. If it doesn't work, just go to petsmart.com and type in Petstages dog toys.

Missy loves them as they make noises on parts of them. They are like a "soft" teething toy. I'm going back to get a couple others.

I love all of their toys and the dogs so too...the cat ones are perfect for smaller yorkies!!

Miko loves tissue paper, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. LOL He never eats it, but if he gets ahold of it, he'll tear it up. hehe.

Anything even remotely like paper is a fascination for Bitsy. If it looks like paper, smells like paper - she has it and is gone in a flash!!! If I try to get it - she will literally eat it but if I kind of ignore her she will play with it and then leave it lay. What sweet characters!!!!

I just spent some money. Even went back & added some Nylabones.

Romeo doesn't tear anything up...Denero gets his paws on any kind of paper he can! The petstages toys are their favs too!

lol, Bouncer only does that when I'm not home b/c he knows he gets in trouble! So all I come home to is him being so sweet in his bed and then I go into the bathroom and EXPLOSION OF THE TRASH CAN!!!! lmao He drags cotton balls and tissue and rips them up all over the place! And Lottie has taken to grabbing tissue out of the trash can in my office and ripping it up without making a sound! I don't even realize she's done it until I look down and she has tissue hanging from her mouth! I MUST invest in a covered trash can. lol Unfortuantely, I think that's the only solution!

Someone mentioned buying the Petstage CAT toys for their dog to play with.

I was checking those out in their catalog. I think you might want to VERIFY before you order those as a lot of them have CATNIP in them.

I'm not sure what a DOG would do if she/he got a hold of one with CATNIP!

We play "let's trade" when they have contraband. They bring it: paper, plastic bags, etc. to me in trade for a treat. It is very funny watching them sneak the paper/tissue/etc. and then run back as fast as they can when I say: "let's trade".

This is SO normal. I haven't seen mine actually eat it unless I keep trying to take it away. I pick it up after the "shredding machine" is done. Tissues, paper towels - I have no idea WHY!

Both of my dogs are tissue happy too. They get into the bathroom waste paper basket and get it. The biggest mess I have had though was when they got ahold of two rolls of toilet papper when we were gone. I was forever cleaning that up.

my little girls just love to steal my maxi pads (clean ones) i keep them on a bottom shelf, or should i say used to. One morning i got up and was wondering where in the world is all the batting from so i am looking and then a pad paper. then pretty soon it was the wrapper, sure enough i looked in the front room and the two females are having a tug a war with the maxi pad having the time of there lives. I was horrified and my hubby was killing him self laughing, they used to love toliet paper, i wish they still did!LOL!

Our dogs LOVE tissue! What we did for our bathroom, is get one of those small trashcans with the lid, where you have to push it with your foot for it to open. That keeps em out. :) (they still love it when they find a tissue lying around..hehe)

I don't know what it is about tissue paper and even the paper holders - but they all love to tear it up! I quess it wouldn't be so bad if I could just bend over to the ground better! LOL! :lol tears :eyetearss :rofl28ib: Here is my proof that they Looooove tissue paper! Enjoy.

ava LOOOOOVES any paper, she likes to tear it up. we have the cutest pictures of her surrounded by her masterpieces.
